The link to the pics worked for me, and now I am awaiting this repaint and the first official patch before I start flying the Connie in earnest! Very pretty. Great job and thanks for sharing the paint in advance, TJ!

I saw that shot while trying to catch up on the forums (so, just flicking though each new topic quickly) and thought it was a colorized photo! Nicely done!trindade wrote:Stunning shot!!!!

Re: Trying to make up my mind.
I've gravitated to the A2A propliners partly for their considerable charms but partly also because, in contrast to the study-level modern airliner sims, I can actually get them from cold and dark to airborne in about 10 or 15 minutes. That includes realtime loading and manual engine start. With the...

Re: Two flights in, Lovely but some ?'s
I turned turbulence effects off in FSX after my first flight in the Connie because the thermals are ridiculous. On a fair weather day, I needed to hold 30 degrees or more of yoke input steadily for a minute or two at a time as I passed through Microsoft's miraculous mile-wide 3000-5000FPM updrafts. ...

Re: A couple of things to iron out
Ok, travel limit is the word you're looking for. Stops or detents are usually mid-range settings. I think, in this context, a "stop" refers to a mechanism which physically stops the movement of a mechanical device at a designated position. Constant speed props do indeed have physical stop...

Re: Not to gripe, but.....
Lewis said at one point, why have a sale, when you can sell the product at full price??? I agree.... I bought the B377 last year on sale and I bought the P-47 on a sale, but that was not at the A2A store. I still think each and every A2A product is worth the price they are asking...e.g. I paid 57US...

Re: Crew's Reports and Controls Panel color ?
I liked the new color scheme (makes the Connie feel even more unique compared to other A2A offerings!) but I definitely think that it would be brilliant to be able to easily change the basic background and text colors in this or future addons. I kinda like the idea of olive drab background with blac...

Re: P 51 Longitudinal Axis Problems
If I am not mistaken, during rotation to a two-point attitude in a tailwheel aircraft like the Mustang, P-factor is initially and briefly reversed (with an effective shift from a high angle of attack in the three point attitude to near-zero once up on the mains), then resumes the expected left turni...

Glad you got it sorted! And, re: my cold-weather comment, I was just trying to help troubleshoot and rule out anything that could be a cause without being super obvious.
Happy starting!

Re: Starting the C172
Also, if you are using real world weather and have only been flying somewhere that is rather cold, might be worth trying with warmer temps.

Re: Saitek Throttle Quadrant
I have the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant set as well as an additional quadrant, all of which were manufactured before the Cessna-endorsed versions were available. They do the job but suffer from all the issues and critiques others have already mentioned in this thread. I also use the Cessna-bran...

Re: Tail wheel Steering non functional - AGAIN
I often forget to uncheck "auto rudder" when I reinstall flightsim. This causes both wonky ground handling and suspicious coupled roll/yaw issues in flight for A2A aircraft. It doesn't help that, if FSX has any issues shutting down after I fix this setting, it forgets that I made the chang...

Watched the whole thing and found it entertaining! I especially liked how you gave your voice over a "headphone effect" once you were inside the aircraft.

Re: L-049 captain doing groceries
I am always startled that the long, frail-looking nose gear of the Connie doesn't snap right off with the slightest side loading. These photos seem to show that it is actually quite reliable. It must feature some truly strong construction and fancy engineering! -Ian C Sent from my XT1650 using Tapat...
