Re: Engineer Carb Anti-Ice

I do not rely on the FE to do his job either. That said you can control carb ice in two methods. Depending on flight stage, altitude, current conditions you can use the carb heat levers or use the Carb Anti-Ice switches momentarily. The switches will almost immediately take care of the problem but i...

Re: Connie Pilots- Post your Captian's logs

Good day all, Just received a pay raise today. We took 44 souls from Santa Genoveva at Goiania, Brazil (SBGO) to Fernando De Noronha, Brazil (SBFN) via VORDME's BRS, LAP, PTL, NTL, NOR. It was a great flight with nice weather. I could have done a better job on the landing even though the approach to...

Re: Connie Pilots- Post your Captian's logs

That is really impressive, Roger! I’ve taken a few baby steps in the Connie recently. I’m still studying the cockpit and how everything comes together for a flight. I look forward to seeing your flight reports Jacques. The Connie is always a challenge to me. If I spend my time in her exclusively I ...

Re: ATC Disabled...

It is also highly advised to save your default flight in a stock simulator aircraft. Saving a flight with an add-on aircraft is very likely to cause issues. My default is the Mooney Bravo at my local airport then I switch plane and location at start menu and proceed with my flight. Seems to work goo...

Re: Connie Pilots- Post your Captian's logs

Good day all, I haven't flown the Connie sense May of last year. She is still my favorite A2A bird due to the challenge she brings. I was a nervous wreck from the moment I climbed into the left seat until I was at FL240. By that point it was starting to come back and I was home again. What a great t...

I'm flying it now and I'm discovering new things about it that I like every day. And I can tell you I am not easily this impressed. Dudley Henriques Which is why we are so lucky to have you test flying. Scott DITTO Scott. Me, Myself and I am so very happy that Dudley is part of your team. Not being...

Re: We need something new in the name for Accu-Sim

Personally I like Accu-Sim 2.0. Keeping Accu-Sim in the name will make the consumer immediately think of A2A Simulations, the company that brought Flight Simulation to life. It denotes that this new engine is based on the same concept that A2A Customers have come love. The 2.0 is a full jump in tech...

Re: Flying help needed - slowing this plane down for landing

Hello Styggron On your fist issue I cannot speak to it. I may have had that years and years ago but do not remember for sure. On slowing the plane down for landing I can only speak to how I do it. When first flying the B17 I had this same trouble. I did learn quickly NOT to pull props below 1600 RPM...

Re: Dump Levers . nothing works!

I have two thoughts maddz, First, and it may be just hopeful wishing, is that you don't have a space where maybe there should be. In the ipc.writexxx line make sure there is a space after the comma and before the value, i.e. ipc.writeLvar("FuelDumpRightLeverState", [SPACE] 1). I doubt that...

Re: Dump Levers . nothing works!

Unable to test today :( though. Currently 4 hours into an 11 hour flight. ( Im really, really hoping it wont take that long with a decent tail wind!!) ( I could probably do this ''on the fly'' but i don't wanna take any risks, its a long flight, and I'm using FSX ) I was always so very nervous on t...

Re: Dump Levers . nothing works!

I should have mentioned earlier that when working with LINDA, editing files, changing controls, etc, you will usually need to click the "Sync To Sim" option off and back on. Sometimes it's necessary to click the "Reload LUA Engine" option. If your new controls still don't work it...

Re: thinking of buying

Good day AbstractArtist, Yes, the B17 can have some issues but they are not as scary as all that in my experience. I'm running P3Dv4.5 but ran it in FSX and FSX-SE for years without many issues. To your question of modelling, flying, takeoffs and landings the B17 is wonderful to fly. However, as sta...

Re: Dump Levers . nothing works!

Good day Sir, Here are my LINDA controls for the fuel dump console. You can see the Lvars and values to create your own custom controls. -- ## FUEL DUMP CONSOLE ############### function Fuel_Dump_Right_Inc () if ipc.readLvar("FuelDumpRightLeverState") == 0 then ipc.writeLvar("FuelDump...
