Re: Different Intrument places
The gauges in the Cub are full 3D models and not 2D gauges so any change would require a new model.

Re: Throttle not going to idle
What does it take to get a good compliment for a landing. No matter how smooth I try to land I get the ironic comments all the time. I do choose the fun type. Make sure you are slow enough, the Cub is slow at the best of times but is especially slow when it comes to landing (aim for around 35...

Here is the link to the quick and nasty tutorial I threw together on changing the colour of the cockpit in external view.

Cockpit Painting Tips
The cockpit areas on the main texture sheet are the parts seen when looking at the Cub in external view. If you change the colour of the main VC cockpit textures then you will also have to change these textures to match but it's not a simple case of flood filling with a colour. You have to use the '...

Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Repaint Repository + Paintkit
I'm using Photoshop CS3 and I did see something about the hue and saturation adjustments, but I guess I don't quite understand how to make those adjustments to match a color. Forgive the amateur level of expertise on this, but it's really the only piece left on my paint and I can't seem to figure i...

Re: Looking for Challenge?
I managed to take off and land the Cub across the WIDTH of the runway at Courchevel during beta testing (mind you the wind was 27 knots at 90° to the runway   ). I even managed to take off and land on the helipads there too (I have the freeware scenery and the freeware mesh for the Al...

Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Repaint Repository + Paintkit
I'm confused as to how to alter the cockpit color on the main psd. Any tips? What paint program are you using? People will be able to give you specific instructions for your program then. Essentially you have to select the cockpit areas and then change the hue and saturation for those areas to matc...

Re: New Paint in progress and a paintkit question
If you look in the 'skin2' folder in the paint kit the red layer (color 2) will probably help you find most of those items. Just toggle it ON/OFF and compare it to what you have on your layer. The UC struts and handle are certainly identified on that layer. As for the clips on the cable guides they ...

I can 'sticky' the thread if Heinkill wants to make a single post with all the links.

Re: It´s a Cub or a helicopter?????
LOL...I did something similar to that with the A2A Cub at Courchevel in a 27 knot wind at 90° to the runway during beta testing.
I even managed to take-off and land on the helipads.
It's a lot of fun.
