B-29D Info
Hey Guys, Here is some more info on the B-29D/B-50 that I found on the net. An order for 200 production examples under the designation B-29D was placed in July of 1945, but was reduced to only 50 after V-J Day. In December of 1945, the designation of the B-29D was changed to B-50A. This was a ruse t...

B-29D Nose Wheel Steering
Inouvo: AC is correct in saying that the early model B-29s did not have nose wheel steering. The B-29D which was the model that led to the B-50 did have hydraulic nose wheel steering. FS2004 Where to buy
Sherwoo1, I looked at several sites on the net and found most of them are trying to sell FS X. I did notice that AVSIM at (see below) is still selling FS2004. Some department stores, i.e. WalMart, Target, etc. may also still have it on the shelves. Good luck in finding it. http://www.simpilot.com/av...

Operation Bolero File
the_soupdragon, I downloaded my Operation Bolero file (bolero1.zip) off of FlightSim.com. Once you download and open the file you will have to read the installation instructions carefully, as it will require several other files (Planes and Scenery) to be downloaded and installed as well. The instruc...

Scott, Yes the flames would remain with the exhaust stacks in flight. I do believe the file I used was found on FlightSim.com and was described as follows: Name: rdp51_fx.zip Size: 82,552 Date: 03-05-2004 Downloads: 1621 FS2004 Special Effects For Gmax P-51D "Reno" Mustang (original design...

I had the same handling problems with my Bf109 and your fix concerning the Relevant Contact Points works great. Thanks for getting the word out.

BF109 Repaint
I finally downloaded the yellow 11 BF109 repaint and I must say, I agree with Rob. This is one of the nicest repaints for a WoP warbird so far. ICDP, by the way, nice screen shots!

Scott, Exhaust Effects Question?
Scott, Has anyone thought about exhaust effects for the WoP Fighters and Bombers? I once had a Reno Air Racers P-51 in FS2002. Someone had made an exhaust effects file that had blue flames coming from the exhaust pipes of the engine. This was an absolutely outstanding effect and really brought the p...

Starting
RevJack, Some airplanes will do some strange things. The PMDG 737 will not allow me to save some switch positions I would like to save. There are times I like to save the plane of my choice on the end of the runway, engines running, flaps set, radios tunes/nav frequencies set, fuel load set, etc. I ...

Starting a "Cold" aircraft.
RevJack, Another method you can use to set yourself up with the airplane of you choice and the engine shutdown is: Pick the airfield, weather, time of day, and airplane of your choice under Create-A-Flight and click OK. When the airplane comes up with the engine running, just taxi it to where you wo...
