Run-up and brakes

Strange, with the P47 I can't anymore perform a run-up bejond 2000rpm's, the brakes do not hold and it noses over? I recalibrated the ch pedals with fsuipc, and I can add that the run-up with the P-51 is normal, the brakes hold without problem to around 4000rpm's! What do I forget? Thanks as usual f...

Re: Throttle and Propeller handling at take-off?

Yes, very informative discussion, as often in this A2A community, and comprehensive even for someone not at all around mechanical things in daily life...my knowledge comes only from reading, and consequently short-term memory....as for "the prop lever always ahead of the throttle" from Mac...

Throttle and Propeller handling at take-off?

I was surprised to see in a United States navy training film (at 2min 35 sec viewing time) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UZmEhayBVI&feature=youtu.be that just after take-off the pilot retards the throttle BEFORE the prop? Is'nt it against the rules? And this is a teaching film!? Many thanks f...

Re: Landing gear warning light and fuel gauge

Well even if it's an" early generation" accusim, yesterday evening I was surprised to see while flying that the speed gauge dropped to zero and understood my pitot tube was frozen, put heat on and there again the speed indicator came back! Maybe while developing the texan, which is also a ...

Yes, in this video, at the time of 35 minutes playing, you see very nice carrier take-offs with full flaps:

Take off flaps and the fighter bomber boys by Tom Glenn

I was surprised to read on page 85 in Tom Glenn's book that they took off with full flaps or do I misunderstand something?
Thanks in advance for your inputs and opinions!

Re: Accu-sim T6 Texan goes into active development

It would be nice to have already the possibility of downloading the manuals to study for the Texan, to be ready to jump into it when available and take off! Already found some operating manuals on amazon, but to have the official one would be great.... And which exact variant of the T6 will it be? O...

Landing gear warning light and fuel gauge

Just having fun with this amazing simulation of the P47, my prefered bird, and was wondering if the landing gear warning light should not go on when I throttle completely back while in flight with gear up, as described in the pilots operating manual? And also wondering if the fuel gauges should not ...

Re: Propeller hunting?

I am neither disappointed, these aircrafts with accusim are all fantastic, and really bug free! BUT I always wonder if people were not more than happy to PAY for new so called advanced versions of EXISTING aircrafts, updated to the possibilities possibilities of complex simulation offered by advance...

Re: Propeller hunting?

Well, after flying forty five minutes without generator and all lights and pitot on, 50 amps, I am not sure there is any battery drain modelled while flying, I guess battery drain is modelled only at startup? But of course I am not an expert at all...good night!

Re: Propeller hunting?

I flew yesterday with the generator off for fifteen minutes, the prop was stable at 2500 RPM, I turned the lights and Pitot on to drain the battery, but the flight was to short I guess...will try again when having more time!

Re: Propeller hunting?

Will try tomorrow evening if time permits, I guess just shutting of the generator should do it and will see how the prop reacts! Most likely someone already dit it?!

Propeller hunting?

What does it mean when it says the "propeller starts to hunt" if the battery gets weak?
