Been wondering about this - do you operate these radials RoP? Or LoP? Or...?

Re: You may hate me.

Her Mer, the trim isn't unrealistic, this is how it was on the aircraft we had test flown, its very precise. (barring any technical issue you have encountered with control mappings) The starter as noted, is quite different to the P-47 type which is pre-WW2 vintage. The walk around as noted by Scott...

Re: GA Twin Recommendation

I hear you, guys. Buying something without Accusim feels like you're only getting the apple peel and not the whole apple. I'd rather wait for an A2A twin, but no announcement has been made regarding their research of the Seminole. Perhaps I will wait a bit longer. I certainly wouldn't pay full pric...

Re: Engine smoking

Hi Dan, Did you hit the "i" key by any chance? The "I" key is the FSX standard key for smoke. In the Accusim aircraft this key will trigger all smoke related effects. So it will also trigger the blue smoke that you get from burning oil. The next time you have the smoke issue hit...

Re: Start up effects

That is correct as this pretty much spells out a key difference between Accu-Sim and other flight sims, like FSX. Other flight sims have states like "engine on" or "engine started" in this case. There is no such thing in Accu-Sim, there are just pistons that turn, bring in fuel ...

'a' key with standard key bindings...

Edit: Looked it up just now, 'a' is the default shortcut for "View (next view in category)"
(accordingly, Shift-A is "View (previous view in category))"

Esa, wanna bet? ;)

Don't spoil my hopes here, I'm waiting for an A2A-quality twin!

Re: GA Twin Recommendation

The recommendation is to wait for the A2A Aerostar...

If you don't want to wait, the Milviz twins are quite good (I own the 310), and there is the Realair Dukes which also are really nice imo.

Re: My first failure today during flight

I had a flap fail me once, one side deploying correctly/fully but the other actuator broke and the flap retracted. This happened on short final, on an IFR approach, still fully in the soup. The nice smooth approach went to hell obviously, but I managed to catch it in time and get it down in one piec...

Re: Start up tutorial

Do what it says in the manual. If that doesn't work it's most likely because the engine is flooded (too much priming); in that case continue cranking but fully open the throttle - and be prepared to pull it back instantly as soon as the engine fires!
