Eyepoint

I have one question about this otherwise excellent plane. The eyepoint in the Virtual Cockpit is very close to the instrument panel and level with the gunsight. Unless you have a widescreen this makes it almost impossible to see the runway past the nose on takeoff out of tjhe corners of your eye. Wh...

Prion, I completely agree with your remarks about the difficulty of flying, about the importance of drag and about the problems with the Cougar. Two months ago I was to make a flight report on an ultralight aircraft for a Dutch aviation magazine. I had not flown a real plane for 6 years. Two interes...

Hello Osram, I think your patched version of BoB indeed is a great improvement over the original. It flies much better. I am glad that you think that BoB will have us see further improvements. And widening the FoV helped a lot, much more than I expected. What I meant was that the twitchiness (possib...

Osram, the control surfaces do indeed move. As for the field of view; indeed it certainly helps (thanks very much for the tip), but I do not think it solves the whole problem as the maximum FoV in the patched BoB version I use is not less than in some other sims. Especially the lack of inertia is st...

Prion, you make some valuable points and I agree with you on the inertia issue. That may be part of the problem I have with BoB (and with all Rowan simulations). The planes are, compared to my limited real-life experience in high-performance planes, far too twitchy. It may be because of the joystick...
