cylinder failing
My newly overhauled engine run rough few minutes after leaving the runway, all engine gauges in the green, the tablet Maintenance Engine Analyser showing blue drops on cylinder #3 (oil leaking ?) and the front panel JPI flashing a red DIF with a range from the 6 to the 8 hundreds then not displaying...

Re: maneuvering speed : from 144 to 129 mph.
Can confirm because that confused the heck out of me initially. Maneuvering speed with the :tip tanks is 144 and without tips it's placarded to 129 mph. Cheers, Rob Thanks ! Yes I did put away the tip tanks but I didn’t find it relevant as It should have not lowered the MS ! Great catch, this is ac...

maneuvering speed : from 144 to 129 mph.
Until now I could swear that the front panel was telling me that the maneuvering speed was 144 mph.
In my new session, I have a handwritten sticker over the 144 with 129 . Th engine inspection page is all green. What gives ? What did I mess ?

When I bought the P-47, Accusim was just a gleam in Scott’s eyes I supposeLewis - A2A wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 18:58
Dominique joined several years prior to any Accu-sim release way back during the wings of power FS2004 and CFS3 Firepower days!

Re: Descent parameters ?
Wow, joined in 2005... Day 1 Accusim nerd huh? :D You don't see that often. I don’t buy much payware and I reckon that almost half of the aircraft that I ever bought were from A2A :D . I am not the fan type of simmer, just a satisfied customer. Over and over again. Interesting to have seen them gro...

Descent parameters ?
The manual is pretty useful to drive the Comanche but one thing is missing though. How to manage the flight between cruise and approach. What would be the recommended rate of descent (1000 fpm ?), MP and RPM for passenger confort, safety and engine care ?
Thanks for any insider clue

Re: P3D vs MSFS
For me, the decision to go back to P3D was forced on me by the last MSFS "sim update", the subsequent patch, and the patch to fix the patch. With each patch, my installation of MSFS got worse and worse, to the point where it simply won't play. It loads, but as soon as I hit the world map,...

Re: P3D vs MSFS
fun yes, sure, but you also have to keep the aerodynamics in mind. Agreed, my point was indeed more about engine management vs programming environment than aerodynamics. You don’t fly a DC6 out of the flight enveloppe it may upset the folks behind the cockpit door :) . Common wisdom wants that MFS ...

Re: P3D vs MSFS
Not trying to be polemical here, Lewis, but I observe that PMDG released a DC-6 which is as good in MFS as it is in P3D, big radials, pistons, some pretty focused engine management, A2A favorite garden. So they could overcome the hurdles you speak of. A question too, do your customers want to train...

Re: P3D vs MSFS
Its more a game than a platform, you cant have custom programming very limited SDK etc that's ok for consumer products but MSFS as it stands is just wholly unsuited to a sim platform used for training and simulation work. 1/ a warbird : preferably the P-51 civ 2/ a trainer : preferably the T-6 3/ a GA : preferably a turboprop I well may be wrong, but there's not a lot of turboprop GA. Most turboprops are commercial in one way or another. Did you by any chance mean a turbocharged engine? Quest Kodiak, Cessna Caravan,...
