Re: The secret airplane in development
Aermacchi MB-339 has a stall speed of 80 knot according to wikipedia... l-39 albatross 84 knots... plausible.. but i don't think so... If you use additional oxygen in GA planes, would it cause such breathing sound? It sounds a bit like a facemask, that would speak indeed for a jet... ?

Re: Royal Air Force - Happy Birthday, 100 years old today
Happy birthday RAF. Almost as old as the oldest independent air forces in the world, the finnish air forces that was formed on 6th march 1918. ;-) I have edited my opening post in deference to our friends in Finland, and to avoid possible controversy in other quarters. :) "The Royal Air Force ...

Re: I know I shouldn't complain, but....
I have had some issues and situations, then again, i am very lazy at pre-flighting the plane on a regular basis. But yeah, i wish A2A plane would have exaggerated failure modeling that would lead some sort of issue quite often. Not all the time, not everyflight, but quite often. Triggers do not work...

I think the most impressive thing was the booster rockets returning on their own to an up-right position, simultaneously

Re: Track IR - who uses it?
I have had trackir5 for quite some time now. I have mixed feelings about it: In FSX i never got used to it. There are many reasons for it. Most planes have "center" spot showing only top row of the instruments, so i need to tilt my head in order to see the gauges rather than just glance my...

Re: good joystick or no?
Yes the T16000 is a very good stick. I have the older model without the throttle so i do not know about that but the basic joystick is very similar, just different colour (green). One solution is to go with the stick only and buy saitek throttle quadrant, that is a bit more versatile, but bit more e...

Re: A2A Aircraft affected by Windows 10 updater
After solving the antialising issue with nvidia inspector my FSX has been working pretty well. I've occasionally seen child window or unsupported command errors, but usually after the flight....

Re: Entering to a holding pattern
One final question about NDB approach if i may. https://www.ais.fi/ais/aip/ad/efsi/EF_AD_2_EFSI_32_NDB.pdf How that works? If i am actually holding, i fly 1.5min legs at 2500? If i am holding but coming to land, will i choose the 1min (i presume, shorter racetrack anyway) outbound leg, during which ...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern
Ok, here is what I do for a VOR hold on a parallel entry. Lot's of different ways but I like this one. When inbound to the VOR the course is set to whatever you need it to be and the needle provides course feedback in the normal manner. When crossing the fix you do the T's: Turn onto the first outb...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern
Okay so here's another holding i tried (it is a straight go-around from runway after vor approach) I tried parallel entry on this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/63ochoukr95rtu8/parallel.png?dl=0 The actual holding point was supposed to be "DEKOT" but i was using vor only, R114 and 8 DME fro...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern
I found this the most easiest: Approach PVO VOR at correct radial (259), when above fix(VOR) i turn left 10 degrees or so (so that i have 30 degree difference to inbound leg, that is 40/220, so i'll fly to hdg 70 for one minute, then i'll do a standard turn to left and i'm inbound leg to PVO VOR, no...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern
Yeah thanks. In my mind, i am going towards the "incoming traffic" in paraller entry. Was my teardrop a correct one? Or should i've turn 30 degrees left on PVO VOR fly one minute then turn left to intercept?

Entering to a holding pattern
I tried some IFR flights today with a2a C182 and while i've done this approach many times before i've never joined the holding pattern after missed approach, and i am not sure how it is done correctly. Here is the track of my flight: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4i98qf3affd2k6e/malmivorhold.png?dl=0 So...
