Re: FLAK sites for FSX and the Accu-sim 17
Paul The effect adds a lot to the atmosphere while on the bomb run. I tinkered around with trying to add your flak to one of my next areas on the Sheherazade's target list. It was quite a bit more complex and tedious than I thought. :) I was glad that on the particular mission in the pic, that you ...

Re: How to modify Gauges to read Accusim Variables
Hi Paul, I am pretty much using them all on 2 lower monitors. I have the VC zoomed in so I only see the window frame. Some of the gauges work alright, some are close, some like the ammeters don't work at all. The hydraulic pressure gauge doesn't work until the engines are started. Thanks, Bill I to...

Which gauges are you wanting to use/move to your others monitor(s)?

Re: Placing static planes at the airfield: is it possible?
Not exactly what you are after, but I just quickly created an AI file for RAF Thurleigh using two of Nath's repaints (Steady Headey and Harlequinn). 12 copies of each aircraft to simulate two Squadrons, disappearing off to a target waypoint somewhere over North Germany and returning a short while l...

Re: Cold Start = Engine Detonation?
I load the B-17, set the desired states and then SAVE that flight for further loading in the future. Starting from saved flights of other aircraft may not be the way to go. Basically I have a C & D situation that I normally use and then one with the aircraft "ready to go" that I only u...

Re: cowl flaps speed control
Hi, For those who have trouble adjusting the cowl flaps accurately in the VC with the valve handles: to the left of the handles (not visible in seat position, move up for it) there is a speed control, which affects the speed of the cowl flaps :) Nice! just noticed it :P. For those who cant find it,...

Re: What's best way to setup 6 axis throttle quadrant?
I have the dual Saitek Pro quadrants as well. Check out my replies in this thread to see what I have done, not so much for the axis, but for the switches using FSUIPC and Lua plugins. Guenter also has alot of good information in that thread as well. http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29...

Re: Flying by NAV
Gotcha Ya. :D Just delivered another reconditioned B-17 to a happy customer in Eugene, OR (Ficticious of course) But so much fun to fly long flights using the radios in such a true fashion. Thanks again. And you can find the ADF frequencies on the FSX "MAP" when you plan your flight on th...

Re: Hi litte Problems with Engine Start (Starts to fast)
I have the same problems on start. I can not get the prime to work at all, so I can't get the engines started on COLD starts. Engines Auto-Start just fine. I also can't get the trim pots on the turbo-charger panel to adjust 46 inches of manifold pressure. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side d...

Aha...I never used the "cheat"some1 - A2A wrote:The radio compass repsponds to VOR stations too, just select VOR frequency instead of ADF on a 2D radio popup. It's a little 'cheat' for those wanting to navigate using VOR stations.

Re: b17 Accusim key commands for FSUIPC
Hi Paul, Thank you so much for your reply! This is great information! It is going to help me tremendously, but will take me awhile to digest it, as I am still a novice with FSUIPC. If I understand correctly, you are using a total of 8 switches for the starter and mesh? Are they hardware switches, o...

Re: b17 Accusim key commands for FSUIPC
Hi Guenter, -SNIP- I have a question for you though as a result of my reading. I read your post at simflight about how to get LUA Vars or commands out of FS, and I got everything to work. I was just wondering if the logging via logging window, and logging via LUA Vars, will stop on their own when t...
