Re: Engine 1 Cowl Flap doesnt Open past 3"
Have you checked your assignments in the FSX "Controls" menu? Are you using FSUIPC to map switches/axis? The B-377 cowl flaps are controlled via the standard FSX "Control" commands. There are seperate commands for each of the 4 possible cowl flaps as well as a common command that...

Re: Hand primer - operation
Would it be possible for this or future releases to have fixed views for controls (similar to the autopilot view) that are at extreme left and right, especially near the floor. Using trackIR it can be sometimes tricky trying to `look` in those areas without first learning yoga. TrackIR people will ...

Re: B17 throttle project
I have two Saitek throttle quads and what I'm finding exciting with the B17 is that during take off I'm leading with either port or starboard engines to counter any swing or cross wind. It's very easy with engines and rudder to get a straight down the runway take off. Also helps with taxiing as wel...

Re: B-17G landing gear retract on startup every time
Are you sure your default flight gear status is correct? (down)
Try loading the default Baron 58. If you hear the gear warning horn
then something is wrong with your default flight or controller setup.
Perhaps try loading the B-17G twice before hitting "Fly".

Re: Plugging-in that retired joystick?
Just when I thought I got all the bugs worked out of my new system, my trusty Saitek Avi8tor joystick bit the bullet. The stick component (XY axis) was jammed with elevators up. I went out and got a replacement, and all is well again. In the meantime...I keep seeing the old joystick out of the corn...

OK I surrender and will follow your advice about L:Var's  About the functions I plan to hardwire here is my wishlist: -SNIP- Any opinion or suggestion about that choice ? Yes, I do have some input for you however I'm going to be pretty busy with real life over the next few days but I'll try t...

Re: B17 throttle project
Hi Paul, your post is of great value indeed ! the reason lying behind my asking about the FS standard value is twofold : firstly, by using std FS value you may use your hardware with any equivalent aircraft (i.e I use mostly my DC3 throttle with the MAAM-Sim R4D-6 but also from time to time with th...

Re: B17 throttle project
Hi Guys, having done a DC3 throttle repro that I regularly use, I'm planning to make a B17 throttle + magneto & cowl flaps box repro to interface with the A2A Accusim Flying fortress. I already own 2 leo bodnar's BU0836 cards so I can emulate up to 64 buttons and 16 axis. My very first question...

Re: couple of questions on B-17
Here is what I do for all aircraft. Add three CamerDefinition specifications to the Aircraft.cfg that have "HotKeySelect=" statements" added. Then go into the FSX Controls menu and look down until you find the "View Camera" entries. Assign a key, joystick button or hatswitch...

Re: A discussion on assigning the Primer to buttons or keys
Good stuff! Creative thinking, to use a single button for multiple functions on a `by-engine` selection basis. Not only do I use the "multiple functions on a single button" as I mentioned in that write-up, I also change the function assignments for the switches based on a FSUIPC us...

A discussion on assigning the Primer to buttons or keys
There was a question asked in the B-377 area about the B-17G that was appended to a question on the B-377. It has to do wiuth assigning a joystick button/switch or keyboard key to the B-17G Primer control. I answered that query, in depth, there in the B-377 forum but thought I would provide a link t...
