Re: Question About Others Engine Wear
I have been firewalling it for takeoff, and I usually get 2200RPM about, and I follow their recomendations in the manual for climbing at 55mph. Then I try to cruise at 2000-2100RPM but the needle keeps bouncing slightly. Sometimes depending on how the wind blows it can blow it up to about 2300RPM bu...

Question About Others Engine Wear
Hey everyone. I have put about 23.6 hours on the Cub, and right now my engine condition is sitting at Fair. I have it set for the 1800 interval overhaul schedule. I have not beaten/abused the engine. The only thing that I can think that may have contributed is twice I have burned down 2 cubes on the...

Re: Great plane! But, a couple of problems...
Your post in certaintly interesting FAC257. I go through a process of "slicking" my system to fly and don't run any other program. I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem if you are running 64 bit, and the other programs are opened after FSX and using the memeory FSX cant access. FSX will...

Yeah. That or we are just the 1% that fly it the longest/push the limits of our systems. It seems that I have greater chances of it occuring if I try to fly straight through a full tank of gas.

Re: Great plane! But, a couple of problems...
On a further note was just flying through West Virginia and lost sounds, and then I started messing with it and then got the message FSX was not responding. So now I am at a loss as to what to do. Done every trick I know of so will just watch here.

Re: Great plane! But, a couple of problems...
Yeah that is the one Scott. I turned the trees down to 60, and the buildings up to 3500. Nick said turning anything above 4500 would be bad. I mean I am not advocating that for everyone.. but this is an issue that goes beyond the Piper Cub, and more or less extends into complex aircraft period. I fo...

Re: Great plane! But, a couple of problems...
Hey everyone. I figured I would chime in on this as this is an issue that I have experienced, and have somewhat of a success in curing. When I first got the Cub I was experiencing issues with the sound cutting out, and if I went to any other menu outside the game (the map, save menu, load flight men...

Re: Oil Qty and Ammeter
The ammeter only moves when you turn on the pitot tubes, lights and such. It appears to measure the amount of load placed on the generator than the actual amount of power available from the generator at any given time. I notice whenever I flick on the pitot heat that causes a large jump, then extern...

Re: I just don't know what to say.
Haven't started talking back to her yet, lol. My wife did ask what was with the chick in the front seat and why there wasn't a model of a dude included. She'll get over it, lol. They took away my cheat too that I used with the P-47 where I would take small peaks at my oil level in flight. Talk about...

I just don't know what to say.
Ever since Accu-sim started it has been about fringe aircraft, or aircraft that I do not have a personal taste for. Twice before I was proven wrong, and today I was again proven wrong for a third time once I purchased and installed the J3. It goes to show that even the simplest of airplanes are imme...

Re: Framerate Query
I personally have locked my frames at 20FPS and find that makes for a smooth flying environment. I cannot speak for the Cub as I do not own it (yet). I would say it really comes down to how you tweak your PC as much as what you have inside the box. I have been on both sides of the fence, and have no...

Re: Progressive Taxi Feature in FSX
Sometimes I have found it depends on what airport you are at. Whenever they do disappear for me though I have found that by turning the aircraft to certain angles it makes them reappear. Like I will be in the middle of a turn and then they will appear and then disappear again. Is weird, but I have j...

I must say that while I am not a Cub fan, that you have done a remarkable job putting it into FSX. It looks fantastic!

Those are amazing Scott. Definately will add that to my collection when it is released. Can imagine it is busy with all those planes in progress. So thank you for posting the update.
