Re: A2A and Flightsim World
I think people are still a little confused (wilfully or otherwise) about the market P3D is aimed at. The reason you are complaining about a $200 upgrade every year or two is because you're a consumer. You're thinking like a consumer, about consumer software, where you have to have "the newest a...

Re: I've Redone Raydon!
The big problem with a Texan at Raydon is that I'm not entirely sure what to do with it! It would be a Squadron or Group Hack or runabout, being an operational station, so there's not a huge amount it would do, other than sit around for most of the time the occasionally buzz around to neighbouring a...

Re: I've Redone Raydon!
Thanks folks and sorry, no new AI for Christmas - I'm the wrong side of the Irish Sea and don't have any tools to do them. ;) I was hoping to get another Mustang field out before we left, but it didn't happen... Got two (three if you include Peterhead) on the "very nearly done" pile, so ho...

I've Redone Raydon!
For those that like to fly the P-51D (and the P-47D, for that matter, plus almost certainly the Texan...) from period scenery, I've just uploaded and released version 2.0 of my RAF Raydon - formerly known as S157, now as X3RA. It was briefly home to two USAAF 9th Air Force units before being passed ...

Re: The Future
I ran it happily in v2 and, I think, v3 - I haven't tried it in v4, but as it's all .dll gauges, chances are high that there will be problems.

Re: The Future
If there's a triple release, it'll probably be P3D versions of existing Accu-Sim models.
As for secret projects? I'd suggest that GA will be taking the fore again, once the P3Dv4 backlog is cleared... Bad for me, but good for A2A's finances!

Re: What happened to the Saitek Drivers?
Didn't Saitek bundle all their drivers into the "control centre software", the same as Logitech did? I seem to remember that being a problem with my throttle quads on Win8.1.
Cheers,

A Map of The Dark Corner's Contents
I've just been reminded that I haven't posted this here, either, and that a few people may be interested, so... I've uploaded a KML/KMZ file showing almost-but-not-quite-all of my airfields (why the missing ones didn't get picked up I don't know) to my website, in case anyone wants to know where the...

Re: avro 504 issue and a question about a bf 109
Yes, the WW2 Fighters singles are FS9/FS2004 aircraft and only sold as such - the patches to bring them up to full FSX standard are nice freebies on top from A2A.

Re: Project Wishlist
C152 please, not a C150.
Last time I met a C150 in the circuit at Halfpenny Green, we did two circuits in G-JIMH in the time it took him to do one!

Re: A bit of belated website updating...
I think Banff and Ballykelly should both have full readme files in... I can't remember whether Peterhead has. They're no different from any other FSX freeware scenery to install, I tend to zip them up in a folder structure that you can just put straight into your FSX root file and it should put ever...

A bit of belated website updating...
Not directly to do with A2A, but I know a few people from here will be interested, so... I've updated my website slightly, including the "All-in-One" scenery and library zips, beta pages for Ballykelly (Coastal Command Accu-Sim Fortress!) Banff (no Accu-Sim Mosquito. :( )and Peterhead (P-5...

Re: Why is A2A still Using fsx
Afaik, prior to L-M obtaining ESP, ESP and FSX were essentially one in the same - the difference being the licensing and the SDK. See Phil Taylor response on AVSIM . See also What is the difference between Microsoft ESP and the Games products you produce? - the response by Todd Landstad. Wiki on Pr...

Re: Why is A2A still Using fsx
That's not true. The codebase for ESP and FSX had already diverged before Lockheed-Martin bought the rights to P3D and later DTG bought the rights to FSX. P3D =/= FSX updates. P3D = ESP updates. FSX Steam Edition is a partial upgrade to FSX (DVD) and by the sounds of it, DTG Flight Simulator will be...

Re: Bomber bases in P3D
Hi Greg, TL;DR version: Download and install the "All-in-One" zip files from here - http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/wptemp/?page_id=10 (That link will be changing shortly - I'll try and remember to update the post when it does) Explanation: Lockheed-Martin fixed a problem which ACES never...
