Huskies are such amazing aircraft. I love this pic:
Just looks like something you'd hang in an aviation themed diner.

Re: Last flight in the Eurocub... (IMAGE HEAVY)
Thanks for the replies everyone! It was really a memorable day, thanks to my wife's camera I have my final landing immortalized and can forever kick myself for how off centerline it was  But the good news is, we won't be planeless for long. Keeping its tradition of weird, kooky Euro-remixes...

Re: Last flight in the Eurocub... (IMAGE HEAVY)
Isn't this like selling your car and asking to take it for one last spin? The club sold it, they shouldn't let others fly it. Until money's changed hands, nothing is final  But in all seriousness, the plane hadn't technically been sold yet, so it was OK, I checked with the club's technical...

Last flight in the Eurocub... (IMAGE HEAVY)
And so, it came time for one last flight in the Eurocub. After a long time of good service, the club finally announced that Victor Lima India had found a new family, and was about to be sold. It was to be picked up and papers signed by its new owners at two thirty that afternoon. So... my wife and I...

Re: Thick, winter air - an IRL lesson in density.
Thanks for the appreciation and replies! :) Maybe One of the admins can confirm but I believe it is modeled in the j3 cub and possibly the b377. I did a flight in the b377 yesterday in the cold air and the plane shot up like a rocket as compare to warmer days where I'm struggling to get it to climb....

Thick, winter air - an IRL lesson in density.
This morning I went for a nice winter flight in good old SE-VLI: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LZ0SGWvlcpg/UqW5rK6AZJI/AAAAAAAAL6w/dOVdFrDLPfU/w815-h611-no/IMG_20131209_112313.jpg The first thing I noticed was that with one person on board, in the cold, dense air, the plane shot up like a rocke...

Re: Overview of all repaints.
Just a little Q - any way of making the default view of the thumbnails a little larger? They are a wee bit wee to be clear in thumbnail mode... Sure they can be a bit bigger. I have enlarged the thumbnails of the ones I have added today: http://www.freewarescenery.com/repaints/whatsnew-a2a-172.html...

Re: Concerning the ball, have an idea
Well since we don't have the seat of our pants for coordinated turns, only the ball, what if in the same way your screen moves fore and aft with hypoxia, you had similar movement but side to side for coordinated and un-coordinated turns? Just thinking out loud here  I can get behind this. ...

Great article on the conception of the C172
'Tracking the conception, birth and life of the 172'
Great story from one of the aerodynamicists who helped design it, and who surprisingly really didn't like the tricycle gear idea. Good read!
