Re: Something new is around the corner...

Two things that can help a struggling rig are setting maximum cloud layers from 5 to 3 and reducing the minimum cloud draw distance to 60. As you gain altitude the sim will shift to your maximum cloud draw distance which I left at the default of 90. Another two settings you can get some room from ar...

Re: Cub in P3D, sticky in water :)

I flew the Cub on floats in P3D 3.2 and had no trouble getting airborne either from the ocean or calm water. It changed with 3.3 again so the Cub is struggling.

Re: Cub in P3D, sticky in water :)

It was working fine till 3.3, then it is impossible to get on the step. I can't even get enough airspeed to get up on one float.

Re: How to use a gps in the 377 ?

There is no NAv/ GPS switch in the cockpit so you will have to map a keyboard command for that and also one for "autopilot nav hold".

Hope this helps...

Re: How do you all do long haul flights ?

My longest flight was thirteen hours. I usually cook after I set the AFK option to pause on emergency. Once Heidi served macaroni and cheese for lunch so I made it.

Untill I read this thread I was not planning to buy the Connie. I figured I would just enjoy the fruits of the labor in an updated B377. Now I think I will change my mind...

Re: Extra speed flap trick

A pilot should never place an object in the way of the normal path of a control. Yeah a few of my real world flights were in Cessna 152. I am 6'5" and spread my knees far apart to leave room for the yoke. Couldn't pass the medical so never soloed. Most of the time it was a 172 or PA-180 after t...

Re: Extra speed flap trick

I did not write that "speed trick" part, it came from Vflyte. I can describe how they modeled it however. In cruise you place the pilot's manual between the floor of the cockpit and the flap lever. I have to look more closely at where the manual is placed. I would assume that it extends th...
