Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Official Paintkit
The trick there Jeff is to add another layer below the layer you want to add the logo/design to and then fill a rectangle with the base colour so that it covers the Piper nameplate. You can either leave it like that or merge the two new layers together once you have the logo/design done. Both of the...

Re: two more
I think you are seeing an optical illusion P-C caused by the fact that Jankees chose a duck egg blue for the interior paint. It certainly looks like green tinted glass but if you look a little closer you can see that it is not the glass that is tinted. It confused me for a second too before I took a...

Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Official Paintkit
Any way to remove the "Piper Plate" from the right side of the nose? Hi Jeff, I am not Rob but if you want to 'remove' the Piper nameplate just paint over it on a new layer in your paint program in the same paint colour as your nose area. The only thing you have to do is to make sure your...

Float Painting Tips
I have been working on a repaint for the float version of the Cub and last night I spent several HOURS trying to find all the various parts that make up the attachment brackets on both the floats and the fuselage. The problem was that I wanted the brackets/fittings on the floats to be one colour whi...

Re: Keeping Heidi comfortable
At 75°F / 24° C Heidi already complains about the heat. In my experience most women only begin feeling comfortable at that temperature, some of which would still ask for a blanket. I guess you don't know many Canadian women Jigsaw. Up here some of them still wear shorts and mini skirts ...

Re: Pilot In/Out
The pilot disappears when the engine is off and it is tied down. The sunglasses are user selectable in the 'Controls' screen as shown in Timm's screenshot. Just click on the word 'OFF' to turn them on and vice versa to turn them off. The word on the screen shows the current state. You can also selec...

Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Official Paintkit
I just checked to see if Rob is online so I could grab him via our messaging system to solve this problem but unfortunately he is currently offline. I am working on a repaint at the moment but as I am painting that area in blue I am not sure if I am seeing the same thing as you but the shade of blue...

Re: G-TAKO Repaint WIP
IMHO the register is too small. Everything else in fine. LMAO.....I did say there may be some fine tweaking left to do! :D I have tried at least half a dozen fonts and probably as many different sizes of each and I am still not happy with the text myself so it will be changed before release.

G-TAKO Repaint WIP
A friend suggested that I should create my own 'fleet' of aircraft a while ago and I currently have the Cub in the paintshop ready to become the latest member. At the moment I only have the base version done (and there may still be some fine tweaking to do) but I thought I would let you all have a l...

Re: Slightly OT Scenery Test Request
I just grabbed your file Ian and will check to see if the Cub will get in and out OK. EDIT: OK I just spent about 10 minutes in your scenery Ian and it looks very nice. I can land the solo Cub from either end with no problems and likewise with Heidi in the front. I didn't try on water but that shoul...

Re: What am I doing wrong? (Painting question)
It would appear that some Vista 64 users had some luck with running Photoshop in 32 bit mode as the plug-in is apparently a 32 bit app but that's a lot of pain to go through re-installing Photoshop just to be able to export DDS files.

Re: Why not to create one column for all the news skins of Piper
There is a thread for finished skins already and it can be found here...... http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=19410 Work in progress (WIP) skins are best kept to their own threads so that the repository stays 'clean' and contains only finished and available skins. BTW your Eng...
