Re: Autopilot weirdness - Comanche 250 for MSFS

Hello Ed and welcome! Really please to hear you're enjoying the Comanche so much too. :) The autopilot issue sounds like dual inputs are being sent, so the autopilot master is being toggled on by your hardware, and the autopilot mode is also being changed simultaneously. Just to confirm the issue is...

Re: Blank instruments and no surface detail

Okay, thanks for checking and confirming Graham. I think the next thing to try is reverting P3D to its default graphical settings. The way I'd recommend you do this is to rename the 'Prepar3D.cfg' in the 'C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5' folder so the sim generate...

Re: Blank instruments and no surface detail

Hi Graham, Apologies for the slow reply, the Cub forum doesn't get much traffic these days so can get a little overlooked. :) Please can you check the combined file size of all the A2A_PiperJ3 folders in the A2A/Simobject directory. It should be 1.10 GB as shown below. Screenshot 2024-04-21 174527.p...

Re: Engine starting failure - wrong sound

Hi, I have a problem in that I can´t engage (crank) the engine. Nothing happens. I can hear that the master is working and throttle, prop, mixture, fuel pump is right I fly this aircraft in real life. There is fuel in the tanks. But when I come to "start the engine" nothing happens, the p...

Re: Not finding installation of PA24

Thanks for the update Rich, glad to hear you've reinstalled successfully. The file path for your Community folder should be automatically detected by the installer, not sure what caused the issue in your case I'm afraid. Also very interesting to hear that you're the real world owner of N84VK. It was...

Re: Audio Panel again

Hi Frank, The morse ident sound is part of the default MSFS audio environment. Does the Xbox edition of MSFS have a 'sound' category under general options? If so, the morse ident volume is controlled by the 'warnings' setting (rather than 'cockpit' for some reason). Are you aware of the noise cancel...

Re: Not finding installation of PA24

Sorry to hear you're getting fed up with this, but seems like something is missing as the correct installed folder size for v1.4.7 of the Comanche is closer to 1.87 GB. Did the installer complete fully without any error messages? And do you have any third-party antivirus software (such as Bitdefende...

Re: Not finding installation of PA24

The paint kit isn't part of the installation Rich. Please can you uninstall the Comanche completely then manually delete the "a2a-aircraft-pa24" directory from your 'Community' folder and rerun the installation. Back up the paint kit if you need to. Please make sure the installer itself is...

Re: 430/530 gps does not couple with hsi

Thanks for the update F4b3l, sounds promising, but please let us know if you're still able to systematically reproduce the issue. Also, keep an eye out for the next update, which as mentioned makes a small change to the GNS initialization logic.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Not finding installation of PA24

The file that you download is a zipped installer Rich. Unzip the file to the location on your PC where you wish to keep it, and then double click the installer (A2A Comanche 250 for MSFS.exe) to run it. It should automatically detect your 'Community' folder and take you through the installation proc...

Re: 430/530 gps does not couple with hsi

In terms of the GNS not coupling to the HSI, would you be able to post a screenshot or two showing the cockpit setup when this happens? It's not something I'm currently able to reproduce. I also found another small malfunction with the GNS 430/530. After start up you cant get past the Database Page ...

Re: 430/530 gps does not couple with hsi

Are there any news on this topic? I just purchased the Comanche and have the same problem. The HSI only shows a To indication, but the needle stays centered all the time. The Autopilot is also not following the GPS Track. Will there be an update fixing this problem soon? Not sure if you 've read th...

No worries and no need for apologies Frank, it's a well-known fact that putting any info in a FAQ topic is the best way to hide it.

Re: Wasp Nest

Yes, there's a reason for every one of the walkaround stations. In the OP's case it was probably a rag that had been carelessly left in the intake, as ClipperLuna says. We did consider a wasp nest, but realised that modelling and animating all the wasps would add another year or so to the developmen...
