Chanute Museum will be closing at the end of the year. Reason given is that Rantoul,Il can no longer pick up their Utility costs. I'll be going down there soon for one last look and to offer my services in flying the 51 to a new Museum.

LT Maury Proctor took 51 minutes of color film of the last 3 months of the war . Included near the end are pictures of the 23 cannon strikes his F6f sustained, he took these from the cockpit on the way home!
