varying fps with different repaints (same resolution)

Hey guys, it seems I have slightly varying sim performance when using different repaints although they seem to have the same resolution. Is that possible? At first glance with the P-51 civ I have the best performance with the stock repaints. Do the stock repaints actually perform a bit better in ave...

oddities with the electrical system

Hey guys, today I tried to bring the battery of the P-40 down intentionally. I switched all electrical consumers on (all internal and external light, radios, pitot, hydraulic pump etc.) and triggered the intertia starter several dozen times over about 20 minutes. The battery seems not to discharge. ...

manual available?

Hey guys,

in the store the link to the P-47 manual is dead. Any ideas for getting the manual before buying the beast?

Thanks in advance,
Zacke

battery capacity

Hey guys,

could somebody tell me what's the battery capacity of the simulated P-40 and what's it's maximum power output (to compensate surges if the generator is at it's maximum)?

Thanks in advance,
Zacke

Re: avoiding undertorque

Ok, let's call it wind milling until I have sorted that what makes me call it undertorque.

Do have any ideas if the above mentioned sound could indicate wind milling?

Re: avoiding undertorque

Hello Rob, I'm talking about the situation when the prop drives the engine instead vice versa because of relative high speed and relative low power output. I think I heard this term first time on the forums in conjunction with the Connie. Or do I mix something up here? Edit: Just searched for...

Re: landing light retraction logic

Did delete the joystick button designation and tried it only with the cockpit switch (mouse). It's quite odd: At first it again had the wrong logic (no retraction in middle position). Then I tried it with Ctrl-L and it seems to work. After that it also worked with the mouse. Don't know. A miracle so...

Re: avoiding undertorque

While on approach somewhere around 150 mph (rpm full foward) throttle quite closed just before the gear warning horn comes on I heard some specific sound from the engine like metal parts hitting in the wind or so (hard to describe). Kind of repeating "clunk". Could that be a sign of undertorque? May...

Re: P-40 Fuel tank usage profile

I can give the answer to myself: You run in a prop overspeed quite fast when switching from an empty tank to a full one. Should have been clear!

technical/maintenance manuals

Hey guys, any idea where I can grab some manuals, drawings etc. to dig even more into the technical details of the P-40 (Tomahawk IIB)? At least I would like to know where the parts and items covered by the maintenance hangar are located in the airframe and how they look exactly. So I could imagine ...

avoiding undertorque

Hey guys,

could you give me some advice or numbers to avoid undertorque before I take her to the skies first time? For the Spit Mk1 I remember boost 0/rpm 2600 is safe.

Thx,
Zacke
