Re: please help... I'm lost...

You handle the spec file the same way as far as saving out. [edit] You will do this method for almost all of the textures. At least, all of the main ones. There are only a couple that I have come across that you don't need to flip. To get your art the the new file, the following is for photoshop sin...

please help... I'm lost...

Hi Roger, Flipping it means, inverting the image so it is backwards and upside down. This has to do with how the mapping works in the sim. In DXTbmp, in one of the top menus, "image" i think, select "flip image and alpha" then save as your desired dds. For me this is the easiest way to do it. I don'...

Re: 64 bit Repainting

Interesting. Thanks Ebo. I take it you are using 888 then? I'm under the impression that is still 32 bit like bmp. Again, I'm not fully sure what that means for the sim. I basically take my psd file straight into dxtbmp and convert to dxt5. Although compressed, I believe my textures should still be ...

Re: Memorial Weekend Flight / Livestream Event

It was a great stream. I spent the day fixing my rudder pedals watching the stream while I worked.

Agreed. Great people and cool to see a 14 hour flight going on. Also cool to see and talk with Cody over there.

Unfortunately, I didn't win anything ;(

64 bit Repainting

So, with all of the commotion going on lately with the 64 bit sims coming out, I can't help wondering how that will affect the repaint scene. Or will it? I don't fully understand how the sims handle the textures, and, all I know about 64 bit is that it's better and faster. Lol I assume all of the pa...

I have to say, I kept worrying about it ripping the tail off the plane.
I thought I knew it was further back but it was coming up big and quick. Must be the perspective.

It ain't no yoke.

I had the same thing happen to me! The connect chimes and not being usable unless I have it plugged in at time of boot. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be much help either. I thought it was because I use an iMac and bootcamp. Since I'm always flipping it over to windows to fly, I just made the set u...

Looks Amazing :!: :!:

I will have to wait through the holidays and probably into Feb, before I can have a go. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to seeing her out there and all of the shares.

Re: Saitek rudder brake broke

Thanks guys. You confirm what I was thinking. I got them in 2014 and they really haven't had a lot of use. I tend to be to busy. So, once a week if I was lucky, in monthly stints, and no time lately. I'll make it a Saturday project and see what I can do. I hope they're not spent. That w...

Saitek rudder brake broke

My Saitek Cessna rudder brake (right side) pedal has broke. The other day I heard a pop and now there is no tension on the brake. It is completely loose. Something obviously let go on the inside. Before I rip into it, I was wondering if anyone here has had this issue or heard of it before? Or any ot...

Yea, I also recommend Air Hauler 2. It is, what it sounds like, you're looking for.
