Re: The future of the other A2A machines that aren't yet avalible for Prepar3d

Funny that you say a non-accusimmed aircraft is no aircraft. That's exactly what we have, no aircraft. No P-47, no B-17. So what's the point? Yes, I would like to have them with all bells and whistles, but I'd rather have them without than not have them at all. So if the full monty is for you, wait...

Re: Panels.dll crash with P3D V5

I'm a little hesitant to claim that my experience with CTD in v5 was because of the same issue, but I decided to try to put ".bak" (effectively removing) on the windshield file and I subsequently flew 3-4 hours of heavy flying in weather and in downtown LA with no problems. I might have been lucky, ...

Re: The future of the other A2A machines that aren't yet avalible for Prepar3d

First off, I prefer ONLY A2A aircraft because of the detail and realism they bring to my favorite past time. Here’s how I have viewed things. Now with P3D v5 and the pending future release of MSFS, and the slow development or upgrading of new or old A2A aircraft, there must be something in the wind...

Re: The future of the other A2A machines that aren't yet avalible for Prepar3d

FWIW I think a non-Accusimmed airplane is none. I'm very much into the details under the hood, and while I think A2A produces the most wonderful and greatly detailed models, I would not fly a non-Accusimmed anything. Here's hoping for a new start of the older planes! :-D

Just one of those Accusim things?

I'm about to take a flight in the Bonanza. I'm at L35 (hoho - a V35 at L35) Big Bear with high air-temps (around 23 C) and high pressure 30.23. The CHT really struggles to come up over 100 C, and I'm usually over that when I get to the hold short line. I noticed I have one or several fouled plugs on...

Re: Yeah we are number 1 in the World USA USA USA

Ah you had to be on the complete opposite side of the country, 3000 miles away... OK, so then this lunch would have to happen when I'm able to make one of these full on cross country flights across the rockies. I think I have one or two left in me still :) Scott Perhaps you could make a round the w...

Re: [Updated 6 May: first batch of P3Dv5 installers ready] Prepar3D v5 and A2A Simulations

Thanks so much, A2A. I'm downloading now, and starting a fresh install of v5 tonight with my new super-computer. I have been waiting to install untill I got new installers. Only the best is good enough. :-D

Re: New Internet!

Good news, and welcome to the dark ages of the internet! :-D

I've been blessed with an uncapped 500Mbps line of fantastic stability.
The only problem is that one gets to be spoiled. Visiting my brother with his 10Mbps line I grow restless, grumpy, and more often than not - a long grey beard. :-P

Yeah, as if you haven't "landed" this way once or twice, Lewis.

I know I have, back in the day...

Many times....

Re: New monster PC for FlightSim

Looks like a solid choice. Also, you mentioned single-thread versus multi-thread. In general, we need to remember when building a new computer, to look 3-5 years down the road, not today. The only gaming that is really still single-thread is FlightSim, and only because most of the sims have a lot o...

Re: New monster PC for FlightSim

Your System looks great and I respect your decision to go with Nvidia. It’s a tough decision I agree. Are you planning on overclocking with your unlocked “k” processor because if you’re not, don’t waste your money. Your power supply is huge. Are you planning on running dual GPU’s? That’s way overki...

Re: New monster PC for FlightSim

The red team (AMD)currently is blowing the blue team(Nvidia) out of the water right now as far as processors are concerned. Check out the benchmarks. You get a much bigger bang for your buck right now going with AMD. Hasn’t always been that way for sure. No contest at all. As far as a pre-built mac...
