Re: Is there a timetable?

The reports of P3D's death are greatly exaggerated.

Re: Be especially careful in upcoming months

My understanding is that often deaths are declared to be caused by covid in many cases where those caused by 'flu' would not be written to be caused simply by that flu, even if the causality or lack thereof was of similar level. Instead, a common flu can subject one to several serious conditions in ...

Re: Be especially careful in upcoming months

For what it's worth, the trend of deaths caused by corona virus has not been climbing together with the number of infections [ source data ]. Death rates established early in the pandemic are probably exaggerated. I gather that it is not thoroughly understood why the deaths peaked so distinctly duri...

Re: B-29 Doc

OIC, it looked like when the outboard ones were starting they were going counter-clockwise from our view, and when they idled later then clockwise and real slow. So that was strobig too? I guess using a lower framerate DSLR or something to film it? I guess still better than cockpit videos where cam...

Re: 25 ROP

I have not been able to get the plane 20LOP yet I think it is around where the the A2A Bonanza starts coughing. The combustion becomes impossible probably somewhere at around 100...150 degrees lean of peak I'd guess, but by that time the engine has lost very much of its power, and the specific fuel...

Re: 25 ROP

Greg, have you tried Lean of peak settings? you'll get more power hence a higher speed and this will result in not much range panelty. 25 ROP sounds pretty close to an engine cut and if your cylinders are old and compression becomes different between the cylinders you'll quite quickly reach a point...

Unfortunately, the Global Airport Pack is not yet released for v5, as of now. I do miss that pack, as they did many interesting destinations with perfectly adequate representation. To be honest, I find many of the default airports in v5 very bad indeed. I've had some airports that are supposed to b...

UPDATE: I am now flying to CYXY then to PAJN, after that I’d go south passing the US Western seaboard You'll definintely want to fly from Whitehorse to Juneau by following the railway line. Fly straight to Carcross that lies on the shore of Bennett Lake. Follow the railroad on the eastern shore, an...

What is the TBO of the real T6?
There are probably no time limits for the T6G's engine overhaul, but in order of 1200 h to 1500 h seems to come up a lot as a practical TBO.

Re: Some before purchase questions

Altimeters, VSIs are the ones I usually see bind up a little. Sometimes I see it when rotating the adjusting knob and the needle initially jumps to a new position before moving freely. This is sort of modeled. Non-servoed pressure altimeters used in turbine aircraft usually have internal vibrators ...

Sadly it does not, and they have said they will not be updating it either.
Damn, I was under impression that they would be making it v5 compatible? Too bad if that isn't the case, some very fun destinations were included, and the default ones are absolute rubbish in comparison.

Don't forget the dozens of airports in the (free) Global Airport pack (I'm assuming it works in V5 too...). Mike Unfortunately, the Global Airport Pack is not yet released for v5, as of now.
