Re: MSFS complex third party planes, maybe not so soon

Well, 'into 2021 the earliest' was my expectation for any wider "complex" add-on support anyways. :) I'm in no rush, more like waiting for P3Dv5.1 for time being.

Re: Are you going to port your other products in Microsoft Flight Simulator?

As a general observation, it has been noted multiple times that even P3D versions of original FSX products are no longer simple ports on A2A forums, but by some other developers as well. I find it a bit of a stretch thinking that the new FS would in any way be an easier platform to port a product to...

Re: runway width???

right i have heard about those illusions. i think they have also caused some airplanes to get bent haven't they? im not a real pilot my self sadly but i love reading about it. im trying to get life out of the way that i can fly for real some day though :D "Funniest" ones are the ones that have a si...

Re: runway width???

In my opinion, I value the object free area, even if just an implied concept in some circumstances, way higher than the actual runway width. In fact, it is often perfectly ok to land outside the actual runway, and that's done regularly in certain kinds of flying. However, that often assumes (yes, un...

I still need to do that occasionally to my PC's left monitor.

Re: runway width???

There are various rules, standards and advisories in what comes to the runway layout, but of course, not all runways adhere to these, private strips in particular. FAA AC 150/5300-13 apparently suggest a minimum width of 18 meters (60 ft) and a runway object free area width of 75 meters (250 ft) for...

Re: I think I may be putting the wrong oil on the engine

Here's a Celsius conversion (!): https://i.postimg.cc/GbGKStXw/oil-Grades-celsius.png?dl=1 Adam. I actually had a Celsius-labeled chart somewhere but couldn't find it. It was not from the manuals, not sure where it was sourced from. I liked it better than the Lycoming's one I posted, as it was some...

Re: FS2020 A2A Aircraft

Well, for me the case with the new MS Flight Simulator has always been that it has been with all the previous sims: I'm standing by, even if trying it out briefly, before there starts to be some actual content for the platform. (With DCS, it has taken years, same with the Condor, but my instinct has...

Re: FS2020 A2A Aircraft

Probably it still is as stated. [W]e can't port any airplanes to FS2020 or any flight sim for that matter. Every airplane we make from this point on, whether it's for FS2020 or P3D is being developed with completely different tools. The end result that the user sees will not be all that different, b...

Re: Has anyone done a pre-purchase on the new Microsoft FS 2020?

Isn't there a setting such as "pause on task switch" or something? Un-tick if there was. Thanks, Esa. There is indeed that setting, and I finally did unclick it. But I shouldn't have to, never happened in previous versions. Maybe it now considers Windows or Office checking for an update in the back...

Re: W10 2004 Update

Well, I haven't tried the P3Dv4 since I updated to Win10. I did update the OS to the 2004 well back, and have noticed no issues whatsoever. I suspect that if v4 had some issues it would be a kind of special case then. I've found it is the best, whenever there are any updates either to the sim (or to...

Well, on that one I'd guess it is within reasonable limits.
