Re: good joystick or no?

Yes the T16000 is a very good stick. I have the older model without the throttle so i do not know about that but the basic joystick is very similar, just different colour (green). One solution is to go with the stick only and buy saitek throttle quadrant, that is a bit more versatile, but bit more e...

Re: A2A Aircraft affected by Windows 10 updater

After solving the antialising issue with nvidia inspector my FSX has been working pretty well. I've occasionally seen child window or unsupported command errors, but usually after the flight....

Anyway on 12nd of december there should be a fix provided by Microsoft, hope it helps!

Re: Entering to a holding pattern

One final question about NDB approach if i may. https://www.ais.fi/ais/aip/ad/efsi/EF_AD_2_EFSI_32_NDB.pdf How that works? If i am actually holding, i fly 1.5min legs at 2500? If i am holding but coming to land, will i choose the 1min (i presume, shorter racetrack anyway) outbound leg, during which ...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern

Ok, here is what I do for a VOR hold on a parallel entry. Lot's of different ways but I like this one. When inbound to the VOR the course is set to whatever you need it to be and the needle provides course feedback in the normal manner. When crossing the fix you do the T's: Turn onto the first outb...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern

Okay so here's another holding i tried (it is a straight go-around from runway after vor approach) I tried parallel entry on this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/63ochoukr95rtu8/parallel.png?dl=0 The actual holding point was supposed to be "DEKOT" but i was using vor only, R114 and 8 DME from VOR, may...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern

I found this the most easiest: Approach PVO VOR at correct radial (259), when above fix(VOR) i turn left 10 degrees or so (so that i have 30 degree difference to inbound leg, that is 40/220, so i'll fly to hdg 70 for one minute, then i'll do a standard turn to left and i'm inbound leg to PVO VOR, no...

Re: Entering to a holding pattern

Yeah thanks. In my mind, i am going towards the "incoming traffic" in paraller entry. Was my teardrop a correct one? Or should i've turn 30 degrees left on PVO VOR fly one minute then turn left to intercept?

Entering to a holding pattern

I tried some IFR flights today with a2a C182 and while i've done this approach many times before i've never joined the holding pattern after missed approach, and i am not sure how it is done correctly. Here is the track of my flight: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4i98qf3affd2k6e/malmivorhold.png?dl=0 So...

Re: My experience with Creators Update and Nvidia Inspector

I found a post on the Nvidia forums that revealed a way to fix your Inspector profile to work again (by the way, on my PC, NI worked as expected in windowed mode but did not apply settings when FSX was in full screen mode.) Towards the top of the profile settings in your FSX Inspector profile you w...

Re: windows10 update

After the upgrade to Win10 version 1709, I had many of the troubles with FSX that people have reported here - but so far, the new update from today's Windows patchday (Nov 14) seems to have cured all of that. Keeping my fingers crossed :) UPDATE: Well, looks like I spoke too soon, unfortunately. :(...

My experience with Creators Update and Nvidia Inspector

This is my experience, your experience may vary but want to share this. I have MSI GTX 1070, i've used nvidia inspector with FSX. Allowed Win10 to update to falls creators update today. It seemed to go fine. Heard that many had issues with FSX. The game worked but nvidia profile inspector did not. R...

Re: windows10 update

Installed the Creators Fallos update today. My FSX-SE seems to work but nvidia profile inspector (sigh) does not apply so it looks like garbage. It does apply to main screen, where the selected airplane rotates. I can instantly tell from that is nvidia profile implemented or not. Had lots of grindin...

Why tailwheel planes rise its tail?

In a conventional airplane, i've understood, the horizontal stabilizer pushes the tail down, creating downforce, otherwise the nose would dive in flight. But in a tailwheel plane you can rise the tailwheel only with propblast, so it's creating upforce, or lift. Why is this?
