Fly the V, just don't blister the paint on 6AG. I don't know if I can patch it..... :P And, ignore the junior birdmen.

Re: Bonanza Finished Repaints

Inspired by the photo on the 2020 Beechcraft brochure and on-line photos of the RL N686AG, this paint is on the V-tail 35B with slight modifications to make it work. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5haxth7o03j76mo/N686AG%20At%20Vashon%20Island.jpg?dl=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ifrcoxatrosskw4/N686AG%20No...

I tried without success to get a photo of the real N35BE. Do you have one?
I looked also and could not find one. She is a 1956 G35 registered in Texas but could not find a photo of the real bird.

Re: Passenger in the engine

Nick,

That is an issue with others as well. The Red 'X' conditions in the hangar cannot be seen. I have been modifying the text for a friend as well. The problem is that different people have different color deficiencies. I have been going to hot pink or orange for reds for my friend.

Painted in the Beechcraft 2020 Javelin scheme at the request of forum member awash2002, here is N35BE, a V-tail with a new paint scheme. https://www.dropbox.com/s/o8d2rydgpta0xur/N35BE%20At%20Orcas%20Island%20Fuel.jpg?dl=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/c13qzoj31kb79pu/N35BE%20At%20Orcas%20Island%20FBO.j...

Re: How to make the Cessna 172's spinner metallic?

P3D is a completely different animal. It uses PBR type textures and not the normal FSX reflection methods for which I gave you instructions. I am just now studying PBR textures and therefore cannot be of much help. Hopefully, someone more knowledge of PBR can jump in here and answer that question.

That explains it. It is all Snoopy's fault. Blast that Red Barron.

Now, there is a song and a cartoon out of the past. :D

Re: How to make the Cessna 172's spinner metallic?

I am going to start this off with a clean slate, no aircraft paint scheme, just a basic C172. I am also assuming that you know absolutely nothing about working on the Alpha Channel. For info, I am using Photoshop CS6 on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Your screen may look slightly different, but the work sho...

Jerrivel6060. Okay. It is a little late in the day right now, but let me put together some stuff for you and I will post again tomorrow morning (my time - Chicago). It is going to get a little deep, but I will keep it as simple as I can.

It looks like the server issue again. It has been going on for a couple days now. Hope Scott or somebody is reading the mail on this.

Re: How to make the Cessna 172's spinner metallic?

There are a couple steps involved. First, you have to color the spinner in your main 'paint here' layer for the specific paint. This MUST be gray, shade to your taste but you can follow what I show below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvdrdx1wrdt36f6/Aircraft%20paint%20layer.jpg?dl=1 Then, you have to a...

Re: Autopilot NAV Mode with RXP GTN 750

My usual procedure is to let the S-Tec follow the magenta line in HI TRK, but I keep the heading bug aligned with the route, and watch the GTN 750 for upcoming course changes in the flight plan. Then, a minute or so before a change in direction, I switch from HI TRK to HD and make the turn with the...
