That portion of the post refers to a runaway turbo situation, not a normal takeoff. Note the parenthesis.

Sunday, May 9th - Hometown Tour - Western New York State We begin at the Genesee County - Batavia Airport then fly over a number of Points of Interest related to my 18 years of living in Batavia. (After 18 winters of being subjected to 'the lake effect' I decided to make my way into the world, made ...

Re: Friday, April 23 - The Trans-Siberian Adventure Leg 6
You might want to rethink this: Local takeoff time: 1800
I just took a short test hop taking off at 1715 and by 1800 the sun was very low on the horizon.
It is difficult under sunny skies to see the RR tracks and next to impossible in the dark.

Re: Sunday, April 25th - Hometown Tour - SF Bay Area Boogie
Paughco, Looking at the route for next Sunday one POI you might add is extend the track 2.7 miles from CA35 to include SRF. SRF was Hamilton AAF Base in 1941 and on the evening of December 6, 1941 twelve B-17E aircraft took off from Hamilton to fly the 2400 miles to Hickam Field, Hawai'i. They were ...

Re: Sunday 18th April. Hometown Tour - West Country
Another issue I am seeing is that waypoint 'LA' is located in France when the route description is loaded into LittleNavMap. This may be because I run FSX and the data base for LNM is not the same as the V5 db. I can just create a user WP at the LA location in England and delete the erroneous WP in ...

Re: Sunday 18th April. Hometown Tour - West Country
Ian, in creating a Plan-G PLG and PLN file I discovered that they would not load your plan correctly. The waypoints showed up but were not connected. I discovered the error(2) in your SkyVector -> LittleNavmap entries. There are 2 'pairs of duplicate' waypoints (2 identical entries) in the file. The...

I'm almost ready. Got my Comanche fueled and ready and have my 'personal' Plan-G flight plan ready to insure I never lose sight of the Trans Siberian rails! Also did a bit of translating. I like to have more than just the generic WP1, WP2, etc. http://pstrogen.digitalspacemail8.net/files/UNOC to UNN...

Re: Sunday, April 4th, 2021 - B-17 Mission
EDIT: This procedure will only work in FSX and P3DV3. I need to see if there is a similar approach for P3DV4 and V5. ======================================== EDIT: After spending way too much time trying to get the Lorby PayloadManagerX to function in P3D V4.5 I give up, for now, on enabling droppab...

Re: Sunday, April 4th, 2021 - B-17 Mission
Here is a link for a file containing several additional "Camera Definition" entries to add to the A2A B-17G. The most usable will be the Bombardiers position from behind him and in front of him and a view from the tail gunners position. The definitions are just text to be copied and pasted...

Re: Friday, April 2 - The Trans-Siberian Adventure Leg 3
Due to the fact that the railroad tracks are difficult at best to follow, particularly when there is snow on the ground or they run through large cities I added several (half-a-hundred) intermediate waypoints and annotations to Fridays flight plan for my own edification and the fact that I had nothi...

Re: Sunday March 7th - To the Frozen North
The PLN file came out reversed for me. Had to reverse it to fly Hay River, Yellowknife, Norman Wells, Ft Good Hope. Not sure how that happened. May have been a 'slip' of my mouse with the left button down....???? EDIT: Somehow it got reversed when I loaded it in LN Map and then saved it. So ignore t...
