OH...and that assumes that you have the R Model handbook. The R is a very different aircraft to all of the earlier 172 models.

I can't speak to the 182, as I've not flown one for real but the C172 is spot on. Several of us beta tested using real paperwork and flew the real thing concurrently.

Undercarriage extension speed in the Spitfire is 160mph and the drill is to open the hood before lowering that. Climb out has been detailed above by ratty. If I recall my discusions with Dudley correctly, the maximum practical limit is 200mph for the P-51 and should be about the same for the Spitfir...

Lewis, it is..except that in this case you have to make all the pieces first ;) Ok, as promised, a quintessentially Spitfire I item, the DeH 2 Position Airscrew "bike-pump" control. I built this from the very few photos available and scaled it from nearby cockpit furniture. This was a massive amount...
