Re: Giving A2A their props over at PMDG

I don't know if that is the same thread that I and others were involved in over on Avsim (there have been quite a few forums asking PMDG to include something like Accu-sim in their products lately). I actually enjoy the MD-11X failure module (the J-41 has no failure module as it was an express produ...

Re: Signs of engine detonation...?

The engine detonation/damage most likely isn't occuring in flight. It happened to me and all I did was taxi the aircraft around the airfield for awhile. My guess is this is caused by not turning on the fuel booster pumps (center console) while on the ground taxiing to help the engine driven fuel pum...

Re: Days Op is scrubbed. '17 manual here.

You can just see how everything has built up over the aircraft to this one.. from the tiny little 65hp 4 banger in the Cub shaking to the large Wright Radials shaking the aircraft. My favorite addition is most definately the maintenance hangar. I hope this gets expanded for the P-51 & so on. Althoug...

Re: Days Op is scrubbed. '17 manual here.

Thanks for the manual Lewis! I will be sure to look through it throughout the week. Got so many manuals to read over the last couple weeks. Best way to comprehend is through practice. 8) Hopefully that practice comes soon.

Re: The Accu-Sim B-17 is Unveiled

Shared cockpit isn't supported because the aircraft is so complex. Accu-sim isn't a normal function of FSX so it would probably take a lot of work if it was even possible to get the shared cockpit to work with the Accu-sim features.

Re: The obvious question

I don't think they will go back and re-visit. While it would be nice, the B377 is a handful still without all the extra options. Although a crew that could actually help fly, and manage the flight engineer duties would be a nice addition. The P-47D is still a handful. The Cub is kind of like my Accu...

Re: Dear A2A Team

I enjoy flying the Cub with UTX/GEX USA-CAN. I flew it from Florida to New York and back (was a loooonnngggg flight lol). I had a lot of fun though flying low and slow checking things out I haven't seen before. That is some beautiful scenery though. Gotta love the mountains.

Re: The Accu-Sim B-17 is Unveiled

I don't think the model is all new per say. The Accu-sim is completely built from the ground up to enhance the aircraft. The WOPII B-17 is pre-requisite cause all they did for the Accu-sim model I gather from what Scott and Lewis have said is made slight tweaks and corrections to it. Plus the use of...

Re: "civil" version ?

I was unaware there were civil versions of the B-17? To me a civil version of a B-17 is just one that has de-activated guns and a sealed bomb bay. I imagine there probably are people who would have wanted to take the turrets off, and maybe redo the whole inside, but I think that would involve ...

Re: Sooner or later it's gonna run outa fuel and crash land.

Sounds to me like some Area 51 type stuff going on. Maybe some top secret research B-17 with far extended range to battle the Nazi anti-polar bomber. Oh wait that was the B-29. In answer to the last question nope I wouldn't come down. Perosnally managed to put 30 hours on the 377 this week. H...

Re: Potential Graphics Card Upgrade

I do not know how much better the 285 is than the 260 per say. The 285 is a 45nm chip so it is slightly more power efficient and puts out less heat. My old FSX system was a lap top with a Core 2 Duo, and a Nvidia 8700GT Mobile. I swear it was like putting your hand in front of a blow dryer when I ra...

Re: Potential Graphics Card Upgrade

I just built a new computer and went with a Nvidia GTX 285. I did a lot of research around Avsim and other forums. The issue with using a duel card like the GTX 295, or the Radeon 47XX series cards is the fact they are 2 video cards in one. FSX for whatever reason will not see the second video card ...

Yes that is the file you would delete if you want to reset the hours. Or the one you would save like in my case if you have to reformat your computer and then don't want to lose your hours.

Re: Question About Others Engine Wear

It does say 2150RPM, but there's only a mark on the gauge for 2100, so I just try to stick it on the line which is why I always refer to it as 2100RPM. Usually the wind blows it back and forth between 2100-2200 anyway, or the needle is bouncing around. Is rare that I hit a quite pocket in flight whe...

Re: Question About Others Engine Wear

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have read the manual and that is why I was puzzled. I have read the entire manual. Which is why when following it pert near to the letter, I was puzzled. Cause it said 100% takeoff power, then roll it back to 2100RPM and climb at 55MPH, and usually leveling it off ...
