Re: The secret airplane in development

I really doubt it is a U-2... I was forward deployed where they had some (along with other interesting birds), and nobody can even go near them. I was working on HH-60H's and in the desert at the time, and the Air Force would put us on a bus and drive us out to our aircraft. We were not allowed to l...

Re: Another GA, aircraft?

I believe it is a little bit of both. I for one am fine with corporate sponsorship driving things if it means we get better quality products at the same price. Especially with them doing custom builds for commercial applications, and still releasing them to us for home use is a win win for everyone ...

Re: A2A Development Update 4/8/18

Personally I have to share Scott's point of view of these things. Being a huge military aircraft guy, and an actual mechanic at first I was kind of miffed when they dove in to the GA arena with the 172. However from the Cherokee onwards I have bought and love all the rest. Particularly the Comanche,...

Re: A2A Development Update 4/8/18

I am curious as to what the 2 blade looking things are installed underneath the V-tail on the model. Been looking, and see very few real ones that have them installed so I can only assume it is some kind of mod on the birds. Knots2U doesn't sell them. They almost look like our UHF or DALS antenna's ...

Re: The secret airplane in development

Yeah he said 90 knots. I am thinking new Accu-sim "engine" that he mentions might be for the onboard oxygen bottles and such that everyone has been asking for. Might be completely revamping the backside of the engine for the oxygen starvation physics, and things like that.

Re: A2A Development Update 4/8/18

Very nice. Glad to see I am a good guesser. This will be the first aircraft that I buy for P3D only. Bird definitely looks fantastic!

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017

I have my Saitek X-65F that I just sit on top of my pullout keyboard shelf on my computer desk. Works out pretty well for my needs. I debated in the past building a platform for it since it has the mount holes so you can attach it to something, but haven't seen a need to do that.

Re: USAF Thunderbird Crash and Fatality

This has unfortunately been a pretty bad week for military aviation in general. Marines also lost a 53 and a harrier earlier on in the week. It is a reminder to keep vigilant whether on the maintenance side or piloting side of the house that is for sure. May he rest in peace.

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017

Woohoo! Now the long wait till the weekend. Thankfully will be rebuilding a main rotor head then installing a main gearbox most of the week so that should pre-occupy my mind till then.

Re: Aerostar

I don't know. Being involved in life and death real life covert ops it really isn't that hard to say anything. You just have to compartmentalize what is acceptable public information and that people have a "need to know" and what isn't. Granted flight sim is nowhere near THAT level of secrecy/import...

Doing better than me. I went and diced up potatoes to make potato salad for tomorrow, and now I am back to see if anything changed. Still no announcement though.

Shall see. With all the time that has passed I am almost more excited for just the announcement itself than whatever it actually winds up being. The anticipation is immense.

Re: Everyone be like

I must be the only person that actually likes that song and don't see Rick Rolling as a bad thing. I need to take a picture of the one shelf in our tool room at work because we have the lyrics written on the side of the shelf for anyone that looks.
