I for one would be very interested in hearing your stories! My grandfather was on the U.S.S. Yorktown and we had his 80th birthday not that long ago and sadly to say he has taken a turn for the worse. We found out on that day that he was awarded many different medals and not one person knew about th...

WWII FIghters and FSX problems

I'm not sure if these issues that I'm talking about have been brought up or not but I couldn't find anything if they were. I just got everything lined out to where I could have time to fly again and noticed these. First one is the props go behind the clouds when flying from outside view. The second ...

Well I was goofin around a while back in a FW-190 and flew to close to a C-172. This being right after a fresh install I had forgotten to turn the aircraft collision off and next thing I knew I had lost a wings and was a spining fireball headed towards the ground. So there is some damage model there...

That was a very interesting read. Thanks for that Mr. Elkington!!! I always enjoy reading this type of thing. Thanks for the words about the shots. I could keep myself out of his sights for the most part, and even though he was faster I'm sure it helped that the buddy I was with is more of a bomber ...

I think if I remember correctly MS changed something at the last minute and shockwave is working on patch. I too have a few issues in FSX. Like the droptanks not dropping and the realair spit not showing the gauges and stuff like that.

I think with the cfg tweaks you should be able to run it with the auto gen turned down to normal. I have a simular system to you but I have 1.5 gigs of memory on my system with a 6800GT. I have everything turned to max running a 1600x1200x32 with autogen on dense. I get between 10 and 20fps however ...

what did you do in order to install the WoP Bombers into FSX. I tired to just extract the files like that guy said and then move the files but it won't let me take the files off the cd. Thanks for your help...

Well I went to best buy and they were pulling them as I was reaching for a copy... So needless to say I didn't get one... Some guys have all the luck... lol*

You need to think that MS probably has the best of the best computers while running these things for the screenshots too.

With that said I wonder if the default textures simply aren't that great to begin with but have to ability to have say super high rez addons to be made later on down the road. Like with the mesh going down to 1m or something like that.

I did install that newer demo of FSX and one thing that I am taking notice of is the ground textures so to speak do not load quick at all. Is this happening in the full FSX too? To clarify if you take off from the island the textures look pretty good but by the time you get a little bit out it's lik...
