Frohe Weihnachten!
I wish you all some festive days without too much stress.
I am glad there is no snow over here, as right now I am still in the 6 month "probation time" of a new job and have two flats around 300-400 km apart and would have had to shovel snow at both of them .

Re: V-sync on Radeon 5970 and Cat 11.8
There might well be an issue with VSynch, several games (not only BoBII) and ATI specifically on Windows 7 64 bit systems. The good news is that I just received a new system with - Win7 64 bit :). Also I have an ATI and a nVidia card available for testing. Until I have my computer setup, you might w...

Re: BOB bdg V0.99 & BOB 2 conflicts??!!!
What is the exact problem?
If the broken install means that the menus are broken (wrong colour, can not be used) then it is an OCX issue and probably running a batch each time after switching games would fix it.
So, what is the symptom?

Battle of Britain Day
Today is Battle of Britain day. On this day, the British fighter pilots had their greatest victory and while there were still raids afterwards, it was at least the beginning of the end of the BoB. I think where ever in the world we live, we can be thankful, that this battle turned out the way it did...

Re: Windows 7 - 32 or 64 bit?
If you plan on inserting more than 4GB of main memory on your computer, 64bit is a must. Also some programs by now have a 64 bit version which for example might be a bit faster. BoBII is 32 bit only. 32 bit programs run under a 64 bit operating system as well. However, drivers for 32 bit Windows 7 w...

Re: Webcam turns off and on while loading
A rough guess: I don't think BoBII on purpose enables or diables a web cam, but it does on purpose interface to TrackIR. From what I understand the gag about FreeTrack is that to the game it looks like TrackIR? As a test, what happens if you disable TrackIR in BoBII (IIRC this is in the bdg.txt)? Do...

Re: Elevator Reversed?
This must an issue in the cockpit 3D models. So we would need to find and tweak the 3D model "source" and then "recompile" it into an in-game-model. That is an issue since most original 3D modellers moved on to other things. Unfortunately I see no way we coders can work around th...

I am "the" gfx coder but PV has already said most that there is to say. :) Regarding "popping" there is the LoD inside the 3D objects which for example determines when it will change from a dot to a square and when from the square to a more complex shape. This can be "biased...

Re: MultiSkin, significant performance drop when enabled
That is quite surprising. I am not sure what can cause it, especially as you had the issue with several computers. A very long shot here but you have nothing running in the background? It would be surprising if a background app interferes in this way, but maybe what programs you run is the thing tha...
