Re: General Operation Questions - New Comanche Pilot

Almost all of my real flying is in C172's, no real time in a Comanche. That noted, I think in one of Scott's videos, he was talking about power settings. On thing he demonstrated was engine smoothness versus power settings, He noted a relatively low setting (doing this from memory) at about 19 squar...

Re: Graphics issues with FSX

Richard,

I don’t think your add on hardware is a real factor unless you are moving some 2D panels to a second monitor. If so, that could be the problem. You would be asking an underpowered video card to move a lot of dots.

Re: Graphics issues with FSX

Richard, I’m not familiar with that card but I’m guessing it’s integrated in to the motherboard. So, I’m with Oracle, it sounds like your machine is a bit underpowered for what you are asking it to do. A2A mostly needs the graphics settings for things like number of light...

Re: Graphics issues with FSX

Richard,

I think most of have anger issues every so often so let's stick with the technical question for a while. More info please: What operating system? Assuming you are close to correct, what video card do you have?

Re: Engine does not start, even in auto mode. No clicks or s

Maybe dumb questions but you didn't say so so we'll start with this:

Did you check the Maintenance hanger? Maybe the battery is dead.

Are you using the checklist in the manual?

Re: Civilian Mustang - too many issues to enjoy :(

We're agreeing. In fact, I'm pretty sure the 10 minute routine came from a Cherokee discussion. One other thought, there are a lot of FSX aircraft that don't simulate the tank switches. At most, they have on and off but look at the tool tips. I think on some, they default to Both but work correctly ...

Re: Civilian Mustang - too many issues to enjoy :(

There has been a lot of discussion since last night but I don't see this question answered: "Switching tanks every few minutes? Can I get a reference quote on this? For how long, and how many minutes? For the whole flight or just climb? I know this is just a test with no FUS tank so I presume y...

Re: Civilian Mustang - too many issues to enjoy :(

Your first attempt to describe what's happening is on a seven month old thread so I think making a new one is the right thing to do. You sound like you do have some FSX experience so if I'm repeating things you know and have checked, I apologize. In neither this post or the older one, no one is desc...

Re: Aircraft movement

I did something like that a few years ago in FS9, all around the continental US as close to the borders as I could get without crossing one. It took some time. Let's try an experiment: Leave your last saved flight for now. Start a new flight with a default saved flight and aircraft anywhere you like...

Re: Aircraft movement

To be sure I understand, your default flight is based on a default aircraft? If so, and you switch to the A2A Cherokee, can you fly? I almost never switch aircraft in mid session because things typically get confused. I don't have FSUIPC and don't know what SPAD is so if they are part of the problem...

Re: Aircraft movement

Much more info please. Tell us about the PC, operating system, hardware spec and so on. Also, what variant of FSX/P3D? Exactly which aircraft? Do non-A2A aircraft work OK? Did they ever work? Have you run the latest A2A update? With that, we might be able to help.
