Re: Requested Paints

Hi! I made a separate post about this, not knowing that there was a specific repaint thread. (Sorry.) Can anyone do an Illinois ANG Paint, I'm hoping it's not too much to ask for a specific N number and serial number to represent a "saved" P-51 that looks in rough shape. N4451C S/N 44-7444...

Re: Repaint Request

The wartime P-51D and P-51K were almost identical except for the propeller. The P-51H was essentially a complete design overhaul for the Pacific theater but it was delivered too late to see action during WWII. Production continued into 1946. As the Army demobilized and transitioned into the Cold Wa...

Huh, I was under the impression they had a different prop and some other refinements. I wonder where that rumor came from. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: P-51D Cockpit Plans Here

Oh I'm gonna end up divorced before I even get to my wedding date. I wonder if my future wife will say anything if this pops up in the living room one day (Since I have no where else to put it)

Repaint Request

So I just bought the Civvy Mustang, haven't flown it yet but also doing some custom scenery for the airport I'm gonna keep it at so once that's done I'll be up and flying. In the meantime, and since I can't seem to find a repaint thread, are there any of you awesome painters out there who can help m...

Re: Transitioning to the Mustang

Tatobean: The Mustang was designed to kill people. It's still doing a pretty good job. So - what'cha gonna get? The Military, or the Civ? I really like my Civ version, with the autopilot and the GTN right up near the top of the panel. If you can successfully take off, fly, and land in the T-6, you ...

Transitioning to the Mustang

Hi All, I've been over in the T-6 forums learning that beast for almost 2 years now and after about 150 hours, am getting fairly confident in my warbird handling abilities. Still got some energy management stuff to work out and getting better at crosswind landings, but I'm getting to the point where...

Re: Weight & Balance Spreadsheet

Resurecting this topic, because I'm currently swapping out my stock avionics for the GTN6/750's. And like any pilot/mechanic I know that's going to change the empty weight and CG of the airplane. With a basic FSX airplane (And I'd imagine there's a place to get to this info in other sims too) we can...

Re: Preventative Maintenance

Do you see the word flap in red, under the affected wing.If so, click on it. If you are not getting that option, not sure what you need to do. Make sure you are not loading A2A plane in the default flight. Right that's for after it has failed. That's not what I'm asking about. I'm talking about fix...

Preventative Maintenance

Hi all! I've noticed that over time my left flap is starting to develop a lot of play in it when I check on the preflight, of course this is indicative of eventual actuator failure. The last time this happened with the right side, just like a real airplane, it failed at the most inconvenient time in...

Remote ELT

Hi all,

Is there a remote ELT switch on the panel somewhere and I’m just too dense to find it? Or am I looking for something that doesn’t exist? I’ve been buzzing along in cruise for 30 minutes looking for this blasted thing!
