Re: VIDEO: Flying the V35B over California - P3Dv5

This simming business is a pure money pit but I wouldn't be able to do without it! TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!! Your Spitfire series sent me down the path to finding all the grass runways I can find in the UK...EGSS, EGML, EGKS, EGHP, EGHR are the initial group I've found...more?? Now T...

RXP GTN650 install

I am trying to get the RXP GTN working in the Mustang and I'm apparently missing a step that I can't figure out, so hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on the issue. I have selected the RXP in the A/C configurator and edited the .cfg to "No Bezel" and the unit works fine, but without ...

Input Configurator Issue

I have recently begun using the configurator with my A2A fleet and have mapped the Mags Inc/Dec to the "1" and "2" keys on all of them. This works just fine in the T-6, P-51 Civ, Comanche and Bonanza. In the P-40 however, from the OFF position, my first press of the "2" key jumps the mag switch from...

Re: VIDEO: Flying the V35B over California - P3Dv5

Thanks for the tour Rob! I've found the same things you mentioned about v5; just smoother in general and the view out the window is smoother even with frame rates lower than you'd think to be comfortably flyable. HOWEVER! That KBUR scenery turned my flight experience there into a slide show...and no...

Re: VIDEO: Spitfire Tutorial Series Part Four - Final Part

That's a very nice ending to a great series Rob! It has been very informative and you've done a good job of presenting all the hidden nuggets for consideration. Your camera eye, production skills and especially your ability to narrate live in a relaxed and organized way make me envious!! C...

Re: Can't Decide Between Military or Civilian

Yeah I also like the ammo and bombs but from a functional pov they don't do much  Just like peeing yourself in a dark suit...it feels good, but nobody really notices......  I can't believe it....I use that quote ALL the time! And I first heard about it as a General Tommy Fra...

Yes! When you buy the P3Dv4-5 it will come with installers for both the v4 and v5 versions of P3D.

I think the CAA might take issue with the rockets, bombs and ammo I also like
Ahhh...yes I suspect that is a distinct possibility...

Re: Can't Decide Between Military or Civilian

I also have both but rarely fly the civ lol. The mil can take more fuel in the form of drop tanks if that's your thing but I don't fly it for that long personally… From a purely personal pov I like the Mil because I love the warbird element and being able to use drop tanks… It appears to me that th...

Re: Can't Decide Between Military or Civilian

They are essentially the same airplane with the same performance, but with addition of a modern avionics suite and a couple of other upgrades in the Civilian Mustang.

I have both but rarely fly the military version and there is no discount for buying them both

Re: Is there a way to change (non-A2A) aircraft startup config?

"...to NOT save a scenario with an A2A airplane" I know this is probably sound advice, and certainly does no harm, yet in all my years and many platforms I have NEVER had a problem just saving whatever I happen to be flying (well, except yesterday, when my Spit lifted off by itself and turned right...

Re: Is there a way to change (non-A2A) aircraft startup config?

I thought that only applied to A2A aircraft, (being persistent). I'll certainly give it a try and report back. Perhaps I'm just eat up with the dumb ass. LOL! Also, this really doesn't help if the aircraft I'm flying doesn't have all of the switches (master, avionics...) animated. A2A does not make...
