Re: Introducing The A2A Comanche: Built with Accu-Sim (coming soon)

My guess is 2 and 3 is/are pump(s) and 4 is the mixture control. Electric pumps was my first guess too, however originally there's only one in 1959 Comanche. Dual pumps appeared in 1961 with 1st feature pack and 4 internal fuel tanks. It was the same setup as we see today in DA40NG with 2 pumps wor...

Re: Introducing The A2A Comanche: Built with Accu-Sim (coming soon)

Question about fuel system schematic. Guessing that:
1 is a strainer
4 is engine-driven pump
but what is represented by 2 and 3?

Another detail - on the real Comanche, both HSI knobs rotate together with the compass card.
PS. It's also nice to see the fuel slosh function implemented.

Ah, so it's this volvo-like body icon ;-) Nice!

Obvious questions about possible integrations with 3rd party avionics packages, but these will be answered later for sure.

Has the cabin temp. control feature been removed in MsFS version? Looks like it is not present in the tablet or moved to some other place?

Re: Cowl flaps operation

While CHT simulated by A2A are rather on the low side (200 is normally expected at full power), but I would not find it much abnormal in these quoted conditions. 1. Power = CHT Temperature. Running on low rpm puts much lower thermal stress on the engine than climbing at 2500 rpm and 90kts speed wher...

Thank you. My hope that there are still people who care about high modeling quality in MSFS has not died completely.

Re: Comanche and Fs2020. What new features would you like to see?

While there is general consensus about TDS, imho, any default MSFS instrument (like G5s) in A2A plane will look like square peg in a round hole. There is some attempt to improve 530 by WT team, but comparing what RXP unit offers right now, in P3D, it will take them light years to get to the AUX page...

Re: A2A Comanche and MS FS 2020

If you don't care about quality, you will have nothing but a video game. It is far from ridiculous. As a developer I will be so happy too - c172 or pa24? Who cares? Just copy config files from one to another and here we go, cash flows... People will get used to. If someone asks questions - blame the...

Re: A2A Comanche and MS FS 2020

It's all about the will and skill of the developers. Period. So true. But there's a threat - so called "mass market", you can find some "devs" and "community mods" and when you look under the hood, basically there's no math behind changes they do, but you still have 10...

Re: Does the Texanhave both an alternator and a generator?

Generator generates DC, alternator produces AC that is then translated to DC with greater control and efficiency. It's not just the branding. Two different designs, even if they serve the same function at the end. As alternators have several other advantages (like extended brush life - or even conta...

Could you please consider an import tool for dat files, for those people who are moving to a different platform, so you could import a state the plane was in previously?

Re: Carburettor Icing

It's bit tricky with this plane, as there are no instruments that would allow to measure this phenomenon and counteract. The first indication is a drop in manifold pressure. But there is no such gauge. For best performance and to minimize risk, carb temp should be somewhere in range between 4 and 10...

Re: Where does the TO shake come from?

They are not balanced here in the model for sure, but it is not something that can't be done. https://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/topages/wheelbalancer.php Flat spot landing can put the tire out of balance, but again this is a consequence, not a default state and tire wear is supposed to be simula...
