Re: sick
Very sorry to hear about this awash. Hope you get to feeling better soon! Keep those spirits up. A fun idea you could do to pass some quarantine time (assuming you are feeling up for it) is to do a good refresher on some IFR flying! You could go around the time flying different types of approaches t...

Re: Need recommendation on Orbx scenery please
Another thing to potentially consider (albeit on the opposite coast) are all of the TrueEarth scenery packages that they have that implements ortho scenery into the sim. It is extremely nice.

Re: EULA Question: Recompiling A2A aircraft for FS2020?
As eager as I am to have my nice A2A planes in MSFS, I'll wait till A2A is ready to release the best possible ones, not just quick ports in legacy mode. Besides, flying the default planes for awhile will make me appreciate the A2A ones even more when they come out. :D My dear, Hook just wrote my po...

Is the game at least recognizing your Thrustmaster HOTAS and you just need to re-assign the buttons/axis commands, or is it not even recognizing the stick?

Re: EULA Question: Recompiling A2A aircraft for FS2020?
So, it looks like getting an FSX aircraft into FS2020 may be possible, but will involve some conversion with the FS2020 dev kit. Before I start trying to figure out how to do that, I just want to check, is that permissable under the A2A EULAs, provided that one has the license to use the aircraft i...

Re: cruise rpm settings
What is some typical rpm settings that everyone uses on the Bonanza with either the IO-520 or IO-550? In a baron that I used to fly with 550s, we would climb at 25 squared, and then cruise at 2400 RPM and full throttle (Or 24 inches max if low level). Typically would lean the airplane to approx 16G...

Re: FS2020 A2A Aircraft
If that is still the case it is a real shame. From what I can see MSFS2020 will be a leap for VFR flyers and I can’t think of any better planes than the A2A fleet for that. If we don’t get them in MSFS2020 it’ll be a real loss. Quite disappointing to be honest... I am sure the aircraft will eventua...

Re: Do you fly with only one hand on the yoke?
I typically always teach my students (in single engine operations) to keep their right hand on the throttle at all times during takeoff and landing. In a lot of these single engine planes your throttle can vibrate back if the friction lock isn't working great, etc. , so best for that not to happen d...

Re: runway width???
Typically objects around the runway are kept relatively low as well for runway clearance. For example, typically runway edge lights are low enough that if you were flying into a narrow strip on a wider wing aircraft there would still potentially be some clearance there. Probably not something I woul...

Re: Passed my medical today
I had my first dose of reality about my age not long ago. I’ve always had stigmatism in my right eye, but had 20/20 vision growing up. It seems that’s since dropped to 20/30, and as the muscle hardens, it’s only going to get worse. Sadly, glasses are going to be a must for me, ...
