Re: Any plan to support Brunner FFB yokes or pedals ?
I know this is not the level you want, but it needs only a for CLS2Sim readable value for "Idle engine thrust" and "Maximal Engine thrust". At the moment I either have to turn off "elevator weight" (which make the yoke useless) or push back the yoke at startup run unti...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
I have made an V2 version of the engine monitor. Now with dual encoder, same dimensions like real unit, and coded most of the real functions. I really like the Insight G4 engine monitor! Although it is possible that in the future I will build another engine monitor of other brands. Even the edm 830....

Re: Is Accu-sim worth the compromises..
For me, I think there are 3 levels in this aspect: 1.- Standard hardware . A joystick without ffb, some standard pedals. In this case Accusim works perfectly. And I think that almost everybody is in this level. And therefore, there is no problem. 2.- Advanced commercial hardware . Here there are the...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
I have been building the engine monitor. I remember when I started the cockpit, some years ago, I coded an VM1000C engine monitor for the great Realair Lancair, that was my initial home cockpit proyect. When I changed to the a2a piper comanche, I reused the code. But in p3d we didn't have real 6cyl ...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
Is that a real gauge from an airplane or did you fabricate that? It is a real vacuum gauge, that was modded to work with a servo for pitch and a dc motor an absolute encoder for roll. It can turn infinitely in each roll direction. I self coded the wobble because you can not get enough transfer data...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
Thanks Lewis. The migration is poving easier than expected. Some Lvars name changes. Some diferent Lvar behaviour, but I have found everthing I need. Everything in the cockpit is working. I will record a tour. I will code an engine monitor. I think it will be an insight G4, or just a JPI EDM700. I w...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G5HgbP7zOU I have migrated the gtn750 unit. I used flight1tech and reality xp software in prepar3d. Now I am using Tdssim, which is gtn750xi software. My 3d printed and home made bezel is a gtn750 replica, but probably I will update the bezel to the new gtn750xi uni...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
Force feedback yoke is amazing. But also way out of my technical ability :D However, those circuit breakers might be within reach... care to share what components you used? :) The circuit breakers are made with relays, springs, reedswitch + magnent, teensy microcontroller, and some 3d printing. You...

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
ok. Here is the video with the force feedback system working on MSFS and A2A piper Comanche. It has taken a lot of hard work to get here but I am extremely happy about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBaXFg8usO4 Now is time to rebuild all the systems/gauges in the cockpit with MSFS. Bye bye p3d....

Re: Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
Here is the dual yoke system building. It uses MY1025 motors (250W), Cytron 30A motor drivers, and my own central box system which talks with MSFS to generate forces. https://i.imgur.com/fZZDhIQ.jpg The structure. Real yokes, dc motors, encoders, chains, bearings.. etc... https://i.imgur.com/v1QMoiH...

Home Cockpit building. MSFS migration. Now with Force Feedback.
The migration of my home cockpit to MSFS has begun. This is the state of the cockpit... https://i.imgur.com/GGU4tPG.jpg I have been working hard in a Force feedback system I will show in next posts. Here is the working system of circuit breakers. They are triggered in the simulator. So they jump in ...

Re: Cabin Vent Functionality. Do They Do Anything?
If you just crack the door with the engine running it almost immediately sucks all the air out of the cabin, faster than if the engine is off and you open the door wide. Even with the engine off cracking the door moves air through fast. Scott. I had a great idea for this a while back but for some r...

Re: Any plan to support Brunner FFB yokes or pedals ?
Are you using Brunner yoke with cls2sim? They have some checkbox called "hardware trim". I wonder if enabling it negatively impact the trim indication position in the sim. No, but I know how it works. Most ff yokes work the same. If you use "hardware trim", you get perfect behav...
