Re: NOT HAPPY with map change since update

Hi Nick. When i said industry standard , about the wind shown as coming from , i ment aviation standards , look at your modern b777/airbus as examples the wind indicator in the monitors always points to the direction the wind is comming from , not going to . regards alan. 8) WRONG!! I have no clue ...

Tere is no known limit. I reached more than 130 (directories) at times and didn't run into any problems - just a heck of a time to wait until the A/C selection page in the GUI opens...

Re: Lockheed Constellatation

This is one of the greatest rumours in the scene and proved by nothing. One parrots the other. But it´s one of the best methods to have a quick reason for any problem. I am simming since over 25 Years with different OS always with default and for no problem this was the reason. Well, this proble...

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?

Your version has an integrated Acceleration Pack. What means that everything fits together ideally. My one is a german Professional Edition with an updated english Acceleration Pack with SP2-deinstall upfront (both boxed versions). I do not want to go deeper in such a setup. However, it is a valid ...

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?

Hi Nick, got it! Was the german Language.dll in FSX. After changing to the english one it worked. The problem now is that FSX has two different languages and I do not know yet what this means for my other installations. I therefore ask A2A if they can change something for the Connie working properl...

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?

I'm definitely out of ideas as here all works normally on 4 installs in total (2 x FSX, 2 x P3D) on two different machines. Just as a remark: never use s saved situation for such tests. Just select the A/C and Airport from the GUI. Maybe you could post a screenshot just after a fresh loading of the ...

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?

Deleted log-file. Unfortunately the Connie did not start with engines running. Also the further steps did not change anything. Thanks for this anyway. That's absolutely strange. And you are sure that you deleted the correct log-file? (there are various files in that folder!) I just recreated this s...

Re: No functionality behind "Auto-Start"?

Most probably a misconfiguration is stored by any (unknown) reason. Just delete the L049log.dat in the C:\Users\"your PC"\Documents\A2A\FSX\L049 folder and everything is reset to default state. Unfortunately this seems to be the only remedy to regain control under such conditions. The Conn...

Re: Lockheed Constellatation

If all is correctly installed and a certain A/C does not show up, it may in rare cases point to a corrupt aircraft.cfg. Check in your Connie Folder whether in the aircraft.cfg the following section can be found: [General] editable=1 atc_type=LOCKHEED atc_model=L049 performance= Category=airplane By ...

Re: Supercharger output seems inconsistant

I made it to 30,000 the other night with nearly full fuel and no load. I was still maintaining a decent speed and it was still climbing but I gave it up because it was after midnight and I had to be up for work at 6. I think she'd do 35,000 feet with a light fuel load and enough time. Everything is...

Re: Supercharger output seems inconsistant

1) 29,000 feet is WAY above the service ceiling for the L-049. I'm surprised you're even able to get there. 2) When RPM increases, MP decreases because the engine is doing less work. This is normal because we're talking about a supercharger here which creates a FIXED increase in airflow mass. 3) It...

Re: Lockheed Constellatation

to lostsoul____ Thanks for all your input. This is really strange because I have several A2 aircraft and I have always installed them using the default installation without any problems. All my other aircraft have been installed the same way. I guess I'll have to go back to "square one" a...

Re: Lockheed Constellatation

Installation path for FSX- C:\program files (x86)\microsoft games\microsoft flight simulator X This is certainly one of the culprits. Using the default installation path for FSX is something that should be avoided by all means when using Win Vista or later. In any case you need to disable UA settin...

T0 Lost soul___Everything in my Connie folder looks exactly like what you have on your screen.
