Re: engineers GPU missing start run switch

The real life L049 panel doesn’t appear to have a GPU or APU switch in the engineers panel.

Re: Forgettably good landings & nonexistant inflight troubles

I’ve been having quite a few like that. I land at about a -10fpm sink rate, the passengers clap and the co pilot says “wonderful! Wonderful!” Betty thanks me for a smooth flight and says people are talking about me in the terminal, yet it gets recorded as “what a forgettable landing”.

Coast Guard?

Does anyone happen to know if a coast guard repaint exists of the L-049? I think she'd be perfect for some long range rescue missions.

P40: a nice relief from an overworked first responder

To the staff at A2A: Not sure if you guys will read this, but just wanted to throw it out there that seeing the P40 for free was some of the first good news I've had in the last month since COVID-19 hit the U.S. hard. I can honestly say that being able to play around with it for an hour today was a ...

Re: feathering gremlins

Alan, Essentially the volt/ammeter rating vary sporadically, the needle surges from one end of the meter to the other. It does this on the main ammeter and all generators. Within approx 2 min, you have a complete electrical failure. On the ground, your batteries are shot (red) and all generators are...

Re: feathering gremlins

Was able to re-create this issue multiple times, I believe it's an error in the coding: Take your fortress and fly up to around 5,000'AGL. Move the E3 mixture to cutoff, the engine will shutdown. Turn off fuel flow, fuel pumps, generator, and feather the prop. Everything shuts down as it should. If ...

Re: CTD Issue ,

When I had FSX SP2 I had a ton of random issues with A2A aircraft, especially the B377. I had used this aircraft successfully for months, and then one day a glitch appeared where some systems worked, some didn’t, I tried to uninstall it multiple times yet it would still show up in the aircraft lib...

Re: CTD Issue ,

Odd suggestions: 1) time it. See if there is a consistent time in which the program times out. 2) idle the fort on the ground and wait said amount of time. See if you have a CTD. If yes, then the fort is the issue. If no, then it seems like the forts flight parameters are causing an issue. Also look...

Re: feathering gremlins

Hi Alan, AP was off at the time, I was under manual control. I also switched vacuum to E2 once E3 failed. The failure was my fault, mixture was slid up to cutoff instead of auto lean. Failure to restart was caused by the mag being turned off, but by the time I noticed it the spinning engine caused t...

Re: feathering gremlins

Not sure if related, but I had E3 fail to feather after it failed and sent me into a flat spin the other day.

Granted, after the spin my electrical system was completely shot, so I’m not sure if that affected the failure to feather.

Hi Scott You should have a look here: http://www.91stbombardmentgroup.com Hi Tomas, I've looked into the organization before but was unable to pursue it due to a change in careers and a move, however now that things are finally calming down I would definitely like to learn more about the organizati...

Flak?

Good morning,

I remember reading on this site about a 3rd party add on which would add flak for the recreation of WWII missions. I’ve tried searching on this site but have been unable to find any additional info.

Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks,
-Scott

Re: Collings Foundation: Flyby in review and respect

I’d recommend trying to get a headcount before the event, maybe make a poll if possible, so we know how many aircraft to expect.

I would be interested, however I've never flown multiplayer.

Any special programs needed?

Microsoft flight 2020 (pre) review

Well written article from a designer/coder from Heli Sims about his trip to the Microsoft Flight 2020 Global Preview Event. Goes into what he saw, what Microsoft still says they are developing, and what they plan on releasing. https://www.helisimmer.com/articles/hands-on-microsoft-flight-simulator-2...
