Re: Engine swap suggestion for accusim

Well for me is the sim mainly a procedure trainer. So whatever you fly in real life should be comparable to the sim. Sure I enjoy the 172/182 with steam, but mainly for VFR and again procedures. For IFR a glass cockpit is much easier to read and manipulate. But as it is not so much about flight phys...

solved: new P3D installation - no A2A installation possible

Hi there, I wanted to install in a new blank Win10 (64 bit) system with P3D 3.4 my older installation package of my C172. The routine runs and creates some folders but I am not able to choose the airplane in P3D. Also it looks like, a lot of the content is missing in the folder. Is there a new insta...

Re: Autopilot issue

Nick,
Thank you. I use the TPM and will try this. But why does it work with same setup with the 182?
Strange...

Autopilot issue

Hi, I am having issues with the autopilot. Whenever I press the engage button, it beeps but nothing happens. I am not able to use HDG or ALT or anything else. I've got also a 182 and the AP works as it should on this plane. So I would rule out a user issue here. I actually flown the right thing befo...

Re: mystery switch

Btw: is any drift simulated? I never noticed any deviation from the compass even when it is free.
In the real planes I correct it every 15 mins and sometimes it is off 15-20 degrees.

Re: Uncontrollable 172 Trainer

Hi Thomas, I experienced a similar behaviour once after adding new hardware. The assignments in FSX have been messed up and double assigned. So when trying to add some right rudder during takeoff the plane banked and a crash was the outcome. In general, if you have set up your equipment and able to ...

Re: Can't figure out the ADF

Hi,
I recommend the following tutorial:
http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/ndb-nav-adf-1.htm
It is not only about ADF but in navigation in general.

Re: Saitek Cessna rudder pedals: realistic tension

I am not sure about the 182, never flew one. The 172 however is quite similar if you set the pedals to max. The original is much steeper and deflection is a bit less.

Re: C182 cowl flap axis problem

Hi,
To set the cowl flaps I created a macro as outlined above with
1=L:Eng1_CowlFlapsLever=SET
And in FSUIPC set it to 0 and 100 to close or open.

If it shall be set to an axis it is a bit more complicated, let me know if you are going for this and I can try to explain.

Cheers

Re: LVAR for Flood light

Mike, thank you that did the trick. It works now. Finally after hours of testing :-) Another thing: which event did you use for the right door / exit? EDIT: if someone is searching for this. I assigned in FSUIPC the "ToggleLogoLights" and "ToggleCabinLights" controls to a button....

Re: LVAR for Flood light

Hi Mike, thank you for your reply. I really appreciated it. However the two variables don't do anything when setting/toggling via FSUIPC. When I toggle the FloodLight1Switch it flashes and the button moves but it does not stay on. the only way to activate them is the standard comand. Any further ide...

Hi,
Would any of the devs be so kind and let me know if this variable is existing or not available at all?

Thanks,

Re: FSUIPC & MACROS

Hi Neil, Thanks. The panel is completely custom an based on the BU036A. Also the fuel selector. I had a hard time finding a switch with 4 positions so I tried this one http://www.conrad.ch/ce/de/product/709344/Stufenschalter-125-V-05-A-Schaltpositionen-12-12-x-30-SR2511F-0112-1-St?ref=list It is act...

Re: FSUIPC & MACROS

Hey Neil, actually it is not that complex. You wrote that you had experience with macros - I assume you have the payed version of FSUIPC. In order to use the LVARS which are mostly within the document Lewis posted, you need to create a macro file within the modules folder of FSX http://s22.postimg.o...

LVAR for Flood light

Hi, I've build a controller for all my switches in the 182 (and 172) with the BU0836 board (e.g. Radio LT, Glareshield LT, Cabin Air, annunicator switch...) I figured almost everything by now. The last thing which doesn't work the way I expected are the flood light switches. debugging the Lvars it m...
