Re: Huge amount of water in my fuel this morning

Also as a real world tip. Things can break during flight so I would recommend a walk around before each takeoff.

Re: Next Plane For 2020

… @Esa: You have a goldmine of technical information and details in your head for which we are all grateful, but I don’t really have a clue what you’re talking about here. … Not o get into a bashing or anything but I agree with Rob on this one. I would absolutely love to have the P-51 and the Spitf...

Re: impersonation is the highest form of flattery

I just read this article on msfsaddons.com as well. Sounds interesting. I guess in the end BlackSquare will have to show that they really can match A2A with the piston engine simulation. An area that A2A is unmatched so far in my opinion. And it adds so much immersion especially in GA where the engi...

Re: Piper J3 MS 2020

Oh no please no glass cockpit. And also no artificial horizon or anything the likes. So we are all on the same page I guess 😉

Re: Piper J3 MS 2020

The cool thing of the J-3 was pretty much that even though it was such a limited and limiting airplane (or maybe just because of that) you had to manage her flight characteristics. In a Super Cub you just come in high, pull down the flaps and push her over. Just add flaps and you‘re coming down and...

Re: Piper J3 MS 2020

I personally would prefer a SuperCub. Maybe the Pa18-150 150hp version with flaps. That’s still an original Piper version but more capable for bush flying.

Re: MSFS PA24 multiple airframe files

Hey there,

This is built into the MSFS Comanche. You can select “persistence by livery” in the tablet. And then that’s exactly what you’ll get. You can also set different used states per livery. So you can have old clunkers and brand spanking new Comanches.

It’s a very nice and handy feature.

Re: Warranty Repair on Engine?

I’ve seen pistons cracked in the middle. So they basically have a hole where the compression gas is coming through. And you loose all compression. Be debris. Basically burned through the middle. I agree that if the piston would have a catastrophic failure there would’ve be more damage. Maybe not the...

Re: Warranty Repair on Engine?

Well it could also be a cracked piston with a whole. Then this cylinder won’t be able to build any pressure anymore and go cold. And since we can’t see the pistons state in the maintenance hangar this could also be a possibility

I can attest to that. 😉

But other that that my oil filter was yellow so I switched that and I did an oil change. Other than that nothing really broken. Mine is a used one though with 1750h total time on engine and airframe

Re: Warranty Repair on Engine?

Those cylinders seem to not be the best. Had a failure to the other day. See here:

I think if we file an action class law suit we might get our money back 😉

Re: First in fight emergency in MSFS

Lol, I know that feeling Lewis. One of my smoothest landings in the B-17 was at ID19 after two go-a-rounds and I forgot my gear the last time. It was such a horrible feeling. We should start a "Comanche Follies" thread for stories like these. They're fun to read and even more fun to share...
