Re: Accu-Sim Comanche 250 MSFS Screenshots
The Comanche never really did it for me in P3D, I think it was the only A2A plane I didn't get. But MSFS has changed how I sim, now it's all about low and slow enough to enjoy the scenery and I'm really looking forward to getting in in MSFS

Re: Because its 2019 and all that... I learnt stellar navigation
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but the coincidence is too good ... I just finished watching that video on youtube - yes, the whole thing :D :D - and now I'm looking for the sextant (which I had but never got into with fsx) and googling about whether it will work in P3D - and this thread was the f...

First blood in the spitfire
Huge thanks to Dreamsofwings for the introduction to the Spitfire series of videos, warbirds have always scared the heck out of me and study level planes that bite if you get them wrong have always scared the heck out of me so I was more than a bit nervous loading up my shiny new MkII Spit and follo...

Re: Making the FE do stuff
but really the start sequence is so wonderfully modeled you'll be doing them yourself anyways (and it's one of the big features of this product... why wouldn't you do it?) The FE basically keeps the aircraft and engine systems from getting out of limits after engine start. Oh cool. In every video I...

Making the FE do stuff
Disclaimer : I bought the Connie about 2 minutes ago and haven't even downloaded it yet, this may be completely obvious when I actually try to fly it ... I watched Captain Mac's full flight tutorial where he couldn't make the FE start the engines, and I'm pretty sure (although it was 4am when I watc...

Re: It's Back - The Tour of Great Britain
I have good memories of this plane from FSX and I picked it up a couple of days ago for P3D almost entirely because of Bruce's video tour :) Stumbled across this topic while I was trying to find out why I haven't managed to land it in P3D yet without ground looping (I think I'm dropping the tailwhee...

Re: Huge 40% Sale + B-17 P3D release!
Thank you ! It got to the end of Dec 23 down here in NZ and I was resigned to waiting for the next holiday that's more or less a global one to see if you had a sale then, it was a wonderful early christmas present to start Christmas Eve by finding you had a really good sale going on :) Closely follo...

Re: Correct(ish) use of the autopilot for heading and altitude
The FD will command pitch attitude, not vertical speed. A subtle but very important difference. Initial engagement of the FD captures the current pitch angle, not any particular vertical speed. You'd be engaging the FD in the air after takeoff, not on the ground . I don't remember there was a go-ar...

Correct(ish) use of the autopilot for heading and altitude
I don't have the sim computer with me but I do have the V35 manual - always a bad combination - and I've been trying to work out how to correctly use the autopilot. I can make it do what I want eventually but I'd like to do it properly so I've been RingTFM :) Assuming I want to take off then pick up...

resolved - Strange crash keeps happening
I have a weird thing going on, I'll be happily flying along in the Bonanza then at some random point the camera will change to an external view and the gear will be down, the gear will start to retract then extend again, then the scenario resets to the default (not the Bonanza this time :) ). When I...

SOLVED Re: P3D CTD when starting with N228Q
Actually I think you're right about me having made that the default - I just loaded up a random alabeo plane at a random airport then reset the scenario and suddenly I was in N228Q at my local airport. So I changed it to the F-22 and moved it to Eglin and saved *that* as the default flight, now I ca...

Re: P3D CTD when starting with N228Q
I think just the free flight menu as I've never messed with the default flight, N228Q is already selected a lot of the time but that could be because it's what was selected when the sim crashed last time I tried to load it ? A few times (in other flights) I've reset the flight and ended up in a jet ...

P3D CTD when starting with N228Q
When I start P3D if I have N228Q selected as the vehicle the sim closes as soon as the loading scenery progress bar appears. Changing the location doesn't make any difference, all the other Bonanzas are fine, and if I start up with any other plane I can change to N228Q once the sim has loaded with n...

Re: Crosswinds on takeoff, violent yaw
Well I'm glad I found this thread, it has answered one question and probably two. I noticed last night that my rudder pedals were making my yoke roll - I don't normally have the yoke showing so that was a surprise and I spent a good hour trying to work out what the heck my rudder pedals were playing...
