Re: Last decimal place of 8.33kHz spacing not saved between flights

My apologies Martyn, this one did indeed get overlooked. Will check if it's fixable for the next update.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Unable to install update or reinstall aircraft

Skycat/larryav8r,

Would I be right in guessing that you both have MSFS installed through the Xbox app? If so, seems there are some cases where the Xbox app encrypts content within the installation, which prevents other applications from writing to these files.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: WT G430 Problem with 1.5.0 Update

Okay, thanks for the additional info. Do you have any other GPS add-ons installed, for example PMS or TDS GTNs? I ask because when I reproduced a similar issue a couple of months ago, the culprit turned out to be an outdated installation of the TDS GTNXi. Also, when you load the Comanche are you sta...

Re: WT G430 Problem with 1.5.0 Update

Hello Les,

Please can you let us know exactly what problems you're encountering with the GNS.

Also, uninstall/reinstalling won't affect the saved states of the aircraft.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Restoring hours after transferring to new PC

Hi Rob,

There sure is! The .dat files are saved in the main MSFS directory in its "LocalState" folder. The full file path will depend on whether you used the MS Store/Xbox App or Steam to install and are shown in the FAQ topic (item 7-E).

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Unable to install update or reinstall aircraft

Hi Skycat, That's an odd one, have you had problems with updates or reinstalling before? The server has been taking a hit from crawler bots, hence the problems some people were having with accessing the update yesterday evening, but it should be accessible now. Anyway, when you try reinstalling with...

Re: Switch from GamePass Version to Steam Version

Hello,

You should be able to log into your Steam installation of MSFS and then sign in with the same Gamertag that you used previously to access your content in the in-game Marketplace.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Navaid Sound Problems

No, nothing should be leaking through Avio, the morse ident should be completely muted if any of those three actions I mentioned are taken. Would you be able to record and share a quick video clip of what you're experiencing? As for the quiet morse ident volume, even at max. it might be worth raisin...

Re: Navaid Sound Problems

Just to clarify a bit guys, these morse ident tones are part of the default MSFS sound environment so you should find that the max volume is the same across all aircraft in the sim. If not, please let me know of one where it's louder. In other words, all we can let you do is turn the sound up to its...

Re: ZFW changing during flight

Using the 'A' or 'Shift A' keystrokes during flight is one way in which you might inadvertently skip to one of the external instrument cameras for the walkaround stations. The regular external or showcase cameras shouldn't cause any change in ZFW as for these the pilot remains in the cockpit. Thanks...

Re: Will a new Comanche become a used one over time?

Hi Frank, Yes, a new aircraft will indeed become a used one over time. You can actually choose to accelerate the wear rate too via the 'advanced options' on the tablet should you wish. If you click the 'used' button on the tablet it will indeed create a different used aircraft. (I nearly wrote a new...

Re: Installation probs

Hello,

There are separate installers for our add-ons for version 4 and 5 of Prepar3D. Please can you just confirm which version of P3D you've switched to? I'm thinking it would be a little unusual if it's P3Dv4 which was released quite a few years ago now.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Audio Panel again

Yes, absolutely correct, Seaford VOR. :) For what it's worth, this was with all the volume sliders in MSFS at 100% so yes, might be interesting to see if there's any difference between the PC and Xbox sounds. I guess you could try backing off the engine volume slider a touch and then turning up your...
