Re: Windshield rain effect fps.

Hi Memey, Please can you try replacing the current copy of the "Windshield.ini" file for the B-17 with this version which will hopefully eliminate the frame rate drop you've detected. The file in question is located in the "Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_b17g" folder. You...

Re: Problems with Spitfire Rudder Trim

Thanks for the update and apologies for not replying sooner; anyway, I'm glad that you managed to track down the source of the control conflict. You should actually be able to completely remove the axis assignment for the twist stick rudder in the P3D controls settings. If you ever use the slew func...

Re: GNS 530W - Resizing GNS in panel - Need help

Hello,

Yes, you can mount the the GNS 530 and the GNS 430 in the panel together, in place of both the Bendix King radios, or you can fit just a single GNS 530 or 430, keeping the default nav/comm 2 radio.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: GNS 530W - Resizing GNS in panel - Need help

Ah, glad to hear you're sorted now with the GNS installation. Yes, a similar principal applies for each of our products for P3Dv5 which support installation of the RXP GNS 530 v2. That's all the GA aircraft, while a few of the others (i.e. the T-6, the P-51 Civilian, and the L-049) support the small...

Re: GNS 530W - Resizing GNS in panel - Need help

Hello Prep2021 and welcome to the A2A forums. Can I just ask which host sim you're using as the installation procedure will differ slightly depending on whether it's FSX or P3Dv4/v5. In either case you should use the "C172 Aircraft Configurator" which is available via the Windows start menu, but for...

Re: Problems with Spitfire Rudder Trim

If the problem doesn't seem to be FSUIPC, it's worth checking the Spitfire Input Configurator. Do you recall making any axis or button assignments here? There's nothing in the aircraft.cfg which will cause the trim to move on its own in this way and the issue is almost certainly a control conflict w...

Re: Sim Crashes during a spark plug clearing instance, see topic

Okay, thanks for the update. Yes, sometimes the culprit for these kind of things can be very tricky to pin down but I'm pretty sure we've never had any reports of this kind of action in the hangar causing a CTD.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Problems with Spitfire Rudder Trim

Hello BigT, Yes, this definitely sounds like a control conflict. FSUIPC stores pretty much all its key and button press assignment in the FSUIPC5.ini file which is located wherever you have the program installed. One way to quickly check if FSUIPC is the culprit without searching through this file i...

Re: hiding yoke via shortcut or joystick button?

Hey Zacke, You should be able to accomplish this by setting or toggling the L:Vars "L:YokeLeftVis" and "L:YokeRightVis" using something like FSUIPC. Each can have a value of 1 (for visible) or 0 (for hidden). If you just want to hide the yokes for a second or two, one option is to set the relevant L...

Re: How to install A2A in P3d V5.2 Academic Licence

Hi Mike and Happy New Year! Just to clarify, do you mean you've just purchased and installed Prepar3D v5 from the Lockheed Martin site as well as a few of our products from our store? If so, it would probably have been Prepar3D v5.3 that you download, as this is the more recent version. However, the...

That's good news indeed Dudley and you're very welcome. Of course, it's a bit of a mystery as to what caused the issue in the first place, but that's computers I suppose!

Nick

Re: Bonanza V Tail

Yes, it's exactly as Oracle427 says, the Accu-Sim aircraft are designed to each have their own persistent condition which can include damage and wear from previous sim sessions. If you'd rather not experience this, there's always the "damage off" option in the Shift 3 menu, but even with the damage ...

Re: Black cockpit in P3Dv5.1

Okay, thanks for the additional info Domi. To be quite honest, I'd really recommend doing a clean update to P3Dv5.3 Hotfix 1 which was recently released. There seems to be something quite fundamentally broken with your current P3Dv5 installation assuming that your graphics card etc. meets the minimu...
