Re: Sudden Altitude Plunge

Thanks for the update Hot Dog. Yeah, this definitely isn't behaviour that's programmed into the T-6 so it may be worth looking at AH2 or any other add-ons which are running. When it comes to AH2, does it launch the sim and/or load your flight for you? I seem to recall this causing issues in the past...

Re: C182 Panel transposed issue

Hello eagle172 and welcome. This sounds like it may be an issue caused by a bug in the current version of P3Dv5 where the "COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=" entry in the Prepar3D.cfg is being set to 0 for some users. For more info please see this topic . The fix is to edit the file to change the "COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=...

Re: Cant Repair New install of C172

Hi Nick … after a week struggling with this install I have come to the conclusion that the DirectX part of the install will not complete with my Build of windows 10, Build 18363. The DirectX utility aborts without completing with an unknown system error. Since I cant pin it down any further it migh...

Re: Bendix King Nav/Com Modukle

You're welcome! Once you're used to it, hopefully you'll find it's a much quicker and more intuitive way to adjust all the rotary knobs compared to traditional click-spots.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Comanche v5 + GTN

Ah, yes - thanks Tigerclaw, and very good point.

Senchay - just to clarify you should be using the "Comanche Aircraft Configurator P3D5" shortcut which is available from the A2A Simulations folder in the Windows Start Menu to add the F1 GTN.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Comanche external view no flap and gear movement

Thanks Cee - you're welcome and very happy to hear the issue is fixed. A bit of a mysterious one for sure, but as v5 is still a fairly new platform I guess a few little issues like this may pop up from time to time. If you do see the issue happen again in future (or figure out exactly what caused it...

Re: Cherokee corrupted in P3D

A GTX 970 is fine in P3Dv4 Jan, and I used this card in the sim for a few years until last December when I swapped to an RTX 2070 Super. For P3Dv5 something with more VRAM is indeed a better bet.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Comanche v5 + GTN

Hi Senchay, Nothing has changed between the P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 version of the Comanche in terms of the F1 GTN support and in fact the panel.cfg files are identical. If the GTN isn't appearing at all in the cockpit after selecting it in the aircraft configurator, please can you check if it's available v...

Re: A hint for the Aircraft Configurators

Hello Oskar, This is a good point as presumably 4K monitors will only increase in popularity over the coming months and years (even if some of us are still stuck at 1920 x 1200 on 8-ish year old Dell U2412M, a monitor which remarkably still seems to be in production today. ) You're correct...

Re: Cant Repair New install of C172

Hello Pearskin - apologies, overlooked your reply for a couple of days. I guess you mean DirectX when you say "Div-X" (which is an video codec/player unrelated to P3D). However, please can you clarify when you see this error and exactly what the error message is? Thanks, Nick P.S. Accu-Sim has never...

Re: Nosewheel Steering

Okay, thanks Bernd. If you don't have a dedicated rudder axis, I suspect this may be a side-effect of the custom animation for the interlinked ruddervators and ailerons in the Bonanza but I'll check.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: LVARS for KMA 26 Audioselector

Have you tried a conditional statement as mentioned in the document Judd? I believe this should be possible within SPAD.neXt, though I don't own the software.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: A2A installation

Hello John, Yes, if you're a complete beginner, the 172 is much easier to get to grips with than a warbird like the P-40. Or something like the retractable-gear Comanche 250 offers a bit more performance and 'retro feel' than the Skyhawk, without the complexities of the P-40's handling and hydraulic...
