Re: EULA Question: Recompiling A2A aircraft for FS2020?

Good luck guys! Simple fact is I'm holding off even touching 2020 - not only because of the data limit on my internet plan (curse you, giant internet conglomerate which shall not be named), but because all the pretty visuals just won't be worth it until I've got an aircraft of A2A quality to enjoy t...

Re: Graphic Card Advice

The 2080 would be an excellent choice. Nothing is 'overkill' for long. In my 30 years+ of computing I've seen demand on computer power increase not diminish. Some chap once said that the old Pentium II 400MHz chips were overkill and that you would never use them to their full potential. I wonder wh...

Re: Different values of fuel flow

I've replaced my fuel flow gauge at least twice in 150 hours, as before long it ends up reading a few gallons too low. It may or may not need to be tweaked because this seems like a rather extreme rate of degradation.

Flap motor and position indication with jam?

Unsure if this is a bug or not because I am not familiar with the flap system on the Bonanza. Just went a whole flight with both flaps jammed in an intermediate position, but didn't even know it because the motor ran as normal and the indicator still moved in response to commanded changes. Just thou...

Re: Weight & Balance Spreadsheet

In my mind, there is little point in doing W&B calculations beyond a very speculative guess when we don't know what the empty CG of the aircraft is. The W&B section in the manual cites an empty weight of 2,088. Contemporary definitions of basic empty weight include full fluids (oil and hydra...

Re: Air conditioning

That engineer's manual is for the L-749 with single-speed superchargers, so it is only good for very general reference. The A2A manual contains all the information direct from the L-049 and C-69 manuals that pertain to the COTS simulation. The amount of information in the manuals was very lean for ...

Re: Air conditioning

Here's the best one I've been able to find. I THINK it is for the A2A Connie variant.

Re: Air conditioning

One more question concerning the generators: How much load can they take or produce? Is overloading simulated? Thanks in advance, Zacke The only thing I've seen is in engineer manuals that say the generators are limited to 200 amps and have protection that will take them offline in the event of an ...

Re: Range of the BO

Just be wary, the Bo is the first Accusim aircraft to simulate usable AND unusable fuel... and as far as I know, the shift+2 menu code may not have been changed to take this into account. So the estimates are based on total, not usable fuel, and you will find your actual range and endurance will be ...

Re: autopilot fail

I've also had a breaker or two trip in the past 30 hours or so - I think it was the autopilot both times, but at the least I'm sure it was avionics related. I generally chalked it up to my general abuse of the plane and poor startup/shutdown habits, since I seem to recall both times I noticed things...

Re: Fresh Air Vent Blower

Did you also open the two vent nozzles next to the control knob by using the mouse wheel? Cruising at 12,000 with the cabin stable at "nice", I turned on the fan, maxed out the knob and opened the two vent nozzles and things got chilly very quickly.

Re: Engine out in IMC.

The Accusim Mustang doesn't model gear collapse but with a touchdown like that, I think that at the very least the gear would have been toast. I had one main gear fold on me during an around the world trip a couple years ago. I suppose I could have been more clear. I know it is possible for the gea...

Engine out in IMC.

Well, my reckless neglect of the Accusim Mustang finally caught up to me today. I want to preface this by saying that everybody who flies an Accusim aircraft enjoys it in their own way. Many like to take ownership of the machine, baby it and treat it well, as if the aircraft were their very own; and...

Re: Which A2A GA plane would you most like to own?

I would have to agree. The Comanche seems like an all-around workhorse. Rock solid and stable in flight, and not really deficient in any particular area. It seems like the best bang for your buck in its class.
