Re: FSX CTD (Can't get help anywhere else)

It sounds very like the Out Of Memory issues I've had from time to time. I've found, for example, that with the Milviz Twin Comanche, if I run the weather radar I get about 30 minutes of flying before the program crashes. Before you get carried away changing your .cfg file, etc, take a look at this ...

October 25 MP Flight - Turkey Treat

We decided to do a P-40 flight this week. https://images2.imgbox.com/eb/f9/SFNtjFzB_o.jpg I learned that the Turkish Air Force flew them in WW2, when adjoining nations Greece and Bulgaria were under Axis occupation. For this trip we take off from the Murted military base outside Ankara and fly westw...

With the door open and TrackIR you can reach forward and swing the prop.

Re: Question about the Cherokee 180

It's not an Archer II, it's a 180C with the Hershey Bar wing. As for a "touch and go speed", stall with full flaps is 55 mph.

Sunday, October 11 - The Undiscovered Country

Although the Misfit Squadron have flown all over the world, there are still regions we haven't explored. I've been looking at eastern and south-eastern Europe recently, and I've found several areas that make for spectacularly pretty VFR flights. This is one of them, comprising a piece of northern Gr...

Re: trackir and the p51

Bought it, tried it, didn't like it, and set it aside. Then a couple of years later I took the time to tweak the settings and now I won't fly without it. Wonderful tool, and better, I think, than current VR setups.

Re: C172 vs C182

The 182 is longer than the 172, has a more powerful engine and hence is faster and carries more, and a constant-speed prop. Otherwise, they're very similar. Oddly, I didn't particularly like the 172 in real life or the sim, but I enjoy the 182. Go figure.

Re: Taxi Problems P51 Civ

It's something with your system, installation, or technique. I've never had a problem with an A2A aircraft (I own 12) that wasn't "operator-induced".

Re: A2A wow!

The Cherokee 180C is one of the few airplanes in which I have real-world time, and A2A got it so right. If I could only have one sim aircraft, their Cherokee is the one.

And welcome to A2A'ers Anonymous!
