I reckon she's grimacing at one of my landings.

It took a while but SO worth it!
Well at last I have ironed out the last ( I hope) technical glitch and fine tuning of my system to get the C172 running as it was designed to. I've also installed the 1.6 Accu-sim update. I just did a twilight flight from EIKY to EICK ( all addon scenery and lighting tweaks) and it was an amazing ex...

Re: Brakes again!!!
Great tip, thanks for that. It would be great to know the keys for individual items such as yoke, throttle quadrant etc. as they all act up at times. One of the axes on the throttle quadrant thinks it's a switch, I bet your solution might just fix that.

Re: Brakes again!!!
UPDATE! Pete informed me he didn't support older versions of FSUIPC ( mine was version 4.742 ). So I downloaded the latest version and reconfigured my axes again. By applying the the "Threshold from 75 to 0 fix" found elsewhere I am glad to say I have finally resolved the problem. Silly me...

Re: Non starting of the 172
I have read all the posts here but still a bit confused. Have you tried starting using the checklist as opposed to Ctrl+E. I have found through the years that complex aircraft don't respond too well to FSX "quick fixes". I'm not belittling your problem but the C172 is very straight forward...

Re: Brakes again!!!
Hello Anthony, Whilst we look at what might be happening, Has anyone raised this with the FSUIPC chaps? If it's working in FSX just fine as it should then it might be a setting they can add too. Thanks, Lewis Thanks Lewis, I have started a thread on Pete's Modules support page on Simflight. http://...

Re: Brakes again!!!
Not having the Saitek stuff or FSUIPC I've raised this with the team. However please can you confirm this works ok when NOT using FSUIPC? thanks, Lewis - A2A Hi Lewis, Following the "tips" for FSX found in this forum the toe brakes work when using FSX to control the axis. Thanks for takin...

Re: Brakes again!!!
Okay I deleted my FSUIPC.ini file and started all over again by reassigning all axes. But still I have this problem with my brakes ONLY on the A2A C172, all other aircraft respond correctly to my toe brakes. I have tried all sorts of tweaks and adjustments in the calibration section of FSUIPC to no ...

Re: Brakes again!!!
Have you tried going via FSX? Do you use SPAD? Thanks, Lewis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hi Lewis, I don't use SPAD but the brakes work fine in FSX when following FSX specific "fixes". I much prefer FSUIPC because I've always had problems with FSX "forgetting" axes config...

Re: Brakes again!!!
I think I know what you are referring to but it doesn't fix this issue. If I remember correctly it's to do with adjusting the brake threshold to 0 from 75 in the FSUIPC .ini file.Welsch wrote:I think there is a fix for this described in the troubleshooting FAQ, something about a line in the FSUIPC config...

Brakes again!!!
I have checked many FAQ's and posts and I cannot see a resolution to my toe brakes problem with the C172. I have the Saitek Rudder pedals, yoke and throttles configured through FSUIPC and use the same axes settings for all my GA aircraft including the C172. i.e I don't use profiles. Although I find ...

Strange consequence of Wing Structural Damage
Today while taxiing I struck the left wing tip off a wall which activated the crash detection and forced an FSX reset to "Cold and Dark". Actually I was having severe problems keeping the plane straight and was putting in seemingly unnecessary levels of rudder to try and stay on track. I n...
