Re: hand tow
I would love an upgrade to add that to the Cherokee (along with a similar option for the GTNs). You gents have done such an amazing job of seamlessly including this feature so well that it feels that *every* plane should be able to do this. It actually feels like it's a missing feature in the simula...

Re: dynamic dirt simulation?
Not at all to take away from anything these fine gents here at A2A do, but there is already one (that I know of) plane that does accumulate dirt on the windshield and allow you to wash it away: the DA-20 Katana by Marcel Felde. However, as with many things on that plane, it simulates it to the extre...

Re: P-38 Interesting information
Neat video and information.
Not related to the P-38, but I was in Hangar B roughly 20 years ago on a trip down the Oregon coast (I can't believe it's been that long...). I still have somewhere, a postcard from the museum showing an aircraft flying though the hangar. Very, very neat structure.

Re: Support for the Flight1 GTN650 and GTN750
Poked my head into this thread to say that I'd be absolutely thrilled if the wonderful (*) folks at A2A would release a VC update to include the GTN series gauges. I can safely say that I've completely retired my RXP units; they just don't hold a candle to these nice touchscreen gauges. I've install...

Re: GTN650
I use the GTN750 in it, and it seems to work fine. The only caveat is that until A2A decides to release a model upgrade allowing for integration into the 3D VC, you're pretty much stuck with using it as a 2D popup. I did post a screenshot and detailed a config edit in the general Cherokee forum that...

Re: F1 GTN
Yes... This is the GTN 750 embedded in the RXP530 face. Visible clickspots on the screen function correctly, but full functionality is really only achieved via popup, since of course you can't see or manipulate the radios or any menu options. It does work to show a moving map or charts however in th...

Very fine work! Can't wait to be sitting in left seat... Credit card at the ready!
Congrats in advance to A2A, this release looks like it'll be hard to top!

Re: A2A C-172 on Floats?
Sorry to hear that as well. Would of loved a float version. When I was working on repaints for this, I came across several Canadian registrations on floats that I would of liked to have had in my virtual hangar!

The 172 on Rock, Paper, Shotgun
Just wanted to point out that the 172 was well featured in an article on the gaming website Rock, Paper, Shotgun this morning. Very favorable review (but of course!). I've been a regular reader of RPS since before I can recall; it's one of the first 'news' sites I look at on my iPhone every morning ...

Re: Finished repaints
I'm the one that requested it and thank you! Awesome job!! I've downloaded it from the link at Avsim as did some other folks. I guess I'm not the only one that's into that old school look :) That's an incredible piece of work, hard to tell from the real one. My computer took a crappola and just now...

Re: Finished repaints
C-FEVS I do kinda (obviously) like these simple retro paints - this might be my favorite of the bunch so far. I'll be spending a few hours with this one for sure. :D Download at Avsim http://i3.minus.com/ibxHRRiHXUxXMd.jpg http://i4.minus.com/ieH04RZeVOf02.jpg http://i7.minus.com/inB6JUb127Efv.jpg ...

Re: Finished repaints
C-GAIO Once again, not a 172R in the real world. Oh well. It doesn't come across real well in these screenshots due to jpg compression, but there's a subtle color variance in the three red stripes. Of course, since I was working off of internet images to create the paint, the color variance that I ...

Re: Finished repaints
C-GBAF Again, not a 172R in real life, but I thought the paint was neat. And bright! This has sat on my hard drive for a bit - it was actually the second paint I ever attempted and there's a few small things I wouldn't mind fixing, buuuut being rather new to the path tool in photoshop meant that so...

Re: Finished repaints
Alright, so I've a few new paints to share on here, but since this one was a request, I'll post it first: CF-GRG The real CF-GRG is actually a 172M, but hey, none of the cool paints that I want to do are ever a 172R. I can see from the images available online that the real one has a really blue inte...
