Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Hi Rick, very well said.
I saw the "dissertation" last night but ignored it. There are people always thinking they are the smartest.
You are right that SPAD, Linda, FSUIPC have nothing to do with the FIPs.

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Yes, Rob. I really like to seek for a solution rather than just getting a refund. Let's try dealing with the gauges one by one, and aim for a fix for the RPM reading first. Following is what I and most people are using: <Value Minimum="0" Maximum="35">(A:General eng1 rpm,RPM) 100 /</Value> Based on ...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Hi Rob, Thanks for the note and sorry to hear that. Does it mean that above gauge issues wouldn't be supported for the moment? If no, I'll look forward to getting further solution suggestions from you guys. If yes, should I send you the Order Confirmation and Payment Receipt by pm for the refund? Fr...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
BTW, if above gauge reading issues couldn't be solved, wonder if a refund is possible ? Because the product is simply "unserviceable" in my setup.

To "visualize" the issues raised, following are links to the images showing the RPM readings on: 1) Saitek FIP (two different versions) 2) RF Cockpit (on iPAD) http://fsxtimes.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/g01b.jpg 3) FSi C172 Cockpit (on iPAD) http://fsxtimes.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/g02b.jpg Note...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
The solution is rather easy, you can ask us what is the variable name for given gauge and use it instead of the default one. For example the RPM gauge: <Value Minimum="0" Maximum="35">(A:General eng1 rpm,RPM) 100 /</Value> raplace (A:General eng1 rpm,RPM) with (L:Eng1_RPM,RPM), let it look like thi...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
In this case, A2A should clearly mention this requirement in their product page because quite a lot of simmers now are using Saitek gears. As a first time user of A2A aircrafts, how could I know that it is so troublesome. If I had known this earlier, I wouldn't have bought the aircraft, or at least ...

Re: C172 and Saitek FIP Panels
Hello all, I did try using a few other RPM gauges found on other FIP gauge forums, all responsed the same as follows: - works normally below 1000 RPM - then needle moves slower than the one shown on the Trainer - needle never passes the 2100 RPM borderline The reading is about 400 PRM lower than the...

Re: Saitek Switch Panel BAT and ALT switches
Thank you Some-1 A2A.
Are the Shift-A / Control-A & Shift-B / Control-B just picked for demonstration?
These key combos have their own FSX functions by default.
Moreover, using your key combos, the Radio and Multi Panels won't turn on while Avionics Master switch is on.

Re: Problems with the Saitek Panels
Thanks for the reply Krycekuk. SPAD solves the button problems and I did that. But still, the readings on the RPM, FuelFlow and Oil Temperature gauges on Saitek's FIPs are still different from what are shown on the C172. The gauges are working fine on the default, Carenado and other brand's aircraft...

Problems with the Saitek FIPs
Hi, Just purchased and installed the aircraft. It's impressive. But the aircraft doesn’t recognize some of the FSX functions via the buttons on Saitek panels or FIPs or by pressing the keyboard. For example, the BAT and Panel Light buttons have to be toggled up and down a couple of times in o...
